You are saying the right thing wich is the fact cuz I’m a Ghanaian but the insults to this president is generated by the opposition propaganda and in Ghana our kind of politics we do is tribal hatred so no matter how good our president maybe they’ll still not see it until he’s no more that’s when they come to realize his good deeds. And this has happened to almost all of our president most especially Kwame Nkrumah,

Dear, this is a witchcraft spirit afflicting most Africans, it makes them hate and deny their own development and advancement and even hate locally produced goods and services, even wanting to destroy anyone and anything that intends to help them. This witchcraft spirit is the reason why the continent is always backwards and exploited by other peoples of continents.

@@Honeychapgh Not all are from Propaganda. For tribalism I would agree to an extent. But let me tell you this, I'm also a Ghanaian and we know the direction the country is going. We deserve better than this, the world is difficult at large no doubt about that. But what intervention has the President done to relieve his people off of this huge burden and poverty? Rather letting them pay for an electronic tax which we will never see a result. Do you see the country's capital anytime it rains, c'mon. Speaking truth to power and prompting them to do the right thing has nothing to do with Propaganda. You are here cheering up these model-like projects isn't it. Have you seen these projects with your naked eyes before? Go to Korle By Teaching Hospital's Mortuary facility and make a renovation rather than throwing dusts into people's eyes.
Don't say this is propaganda, I am outside the country and I see what other Governments and countries without (resources) are doing. What I'm saying is , we can do better. Nkrumah was the best tho🙏👌

Visited Ghana a month ago and I couldn’t believed what my eyes saw. A whole first country to gain independence in Africa. The roads are all broken into peaces. There’s an ocean in the middle of the road. A small distance of 10 minutes drive will take you 2 hours due to bad & limited roads networks and is right in the capital for that matter. Can you imagine how the villages will look like??
When did Dubai gain independence? When did South African got independence? When did Rwanda got independence? Check out these countries and compare Ghana with them..
Who is to be blame here? The citizens. Why? Because they keep allowing foreign and wicket men and women to exploit them well, stripe and deprive them from enjoying their country’s wealth while hiding 🙈 behind governing/politics..

And they will stay poor for a generation.
These are long term infrastructure projects that will hopefully stimulate manufacturing, generate employment and exports
But Ghana actually started growing in the 90s and a middle class developed. Mobile phones arrived, ATMs at the banks, imports were easy, shops filled up with goods, there was a lot of road building and housing construction took off.
What we see now is an extension of that.
If you want a rapid alleviation of poverty you need an Industrial Revolution like the UK experienced in the Victorian area. Or China more recently.

What inadequacies? I do not have any inadequacies, but I can see you do, with Reading Comprehension. Now if your reading ability is greater than a 8th grade level you can try to read and comprehend this book by Eric Williams: I doubt it is by your ignorant response.
      CAPITALISM AND SLAVERY
Slavery helped finance the Industrial Revolution in England. Plantation owners, shipbuilders, and merchants connected with the slave trade accumulated vast fortunes that established banks and heavy industry in Europe and expanded the reach of capitalism worldwide. Eric Williams advanced these powerful ideas in Capitalism and Slavery, published in 1944. Years ahead of its time, his profound critique became the foundation for studies of imperialism and economic development. Binding an economic view of history with strong moral argument, Williams's study of the role of slavery in financing the Industrial Revolution refuted traditional ideas of economic and moral progress and firmly established the centrality of the African slave trade in European economic development. He also showed that mature industrial capitalism in turn helped destroy the slave system. Establishing the exploitation of commercial capitalism and its link to racial attitudes, Williams employed a historicist vision that set the tone for future studies.
