- Defense Cabinet Secretary Adan Duale has defended the executive's decision to deploy the army in support of the national police service. According to Duale, the primary objective of the deployment is to maintain peace and order across the country.
Additionally, the army will be tasked with closely guarding critical government infrastructure in all 47 counties.
