- TANJORE PAINTING: Thanjavur painting is a classical South Indian painting style, which was inaugurated from the town of Thanjavur. Thanjavur paintings are characterized by rich and vivid colors, simple iconic composition, glittering gold foils overlaid on delicate but extensive gesso work and inlay of glass beads and pieces or very rarely precious and semi-precious gems.
Tanjore paintings mainly consist of themes on Hindu gods and goddesses, with figures of Lord Krishna in various poses and depicting various stages of his life being the favorite. It is believed that bringing a Tanjore painting home will bring happiness and prosperity to the family. So let's make a beautiful painting ourselves by watching the complete tutorial.

tanjore painting :- the thanjavur or tanjore school is famous for the special style of decorative paintings. the maratha rulers patronised them during the 18 th century. these painting are unique as they are mostly created on glass and board insted of cloth and vellu. preferred in north india. they are unique beacause of the use of brilliant colour patterns and the liberal use of gold leaf. they use many types of gemstones cut glasses for embellishments to create larger than life images most of tge painting depicted sniling krishna in various poses and various major events in his life tgese painting reached tgeir zenith under the patronage of sarfaji maharaj who was a great patron of arts. currently this school is still operational but they have moved towards experimenting with diverse subjects like birds animals buildings etc

Yes these are special gold sheet which is used for tanjore painting, its not gold foil which we use in other art forms...

Hi usually in Tanjore painting we stick the kundan stones with fevicol. Ur using jus the muck to stick them? Will this be long lasting?
