Great video, just ordered these tires today. Toyo is such a great brand. Edit, that car sounds great! 😸

    I've ran through a set here in the UK - E91 330d, M57, 6spd, 650nm (480 ft-lb).
Heavy nose on her, lots of potholes, standing water, mud..
In all honesty, they're damn good in heavy rain.
I find they do let go quite easily when the roads are simply damp or what you might call greasy conditions.
I tore the rears to shreds in around six months but thats not exactly an indictment of the tyres, I wouldn't say they're particularly fast wearing. They're nice and soft when hot but aren't throwing chunks off everywhere.
They do bite very well for what they are.
The fronts have held out well.
I was having a lot of understeer, the Proxes and some Eibach springs changed the car completely for no money at all, at least in comparison to say Bilsteins and PS4s.
I paid £220 for all four corners in a sale from Demon Tweeks last Xmas, ( 225/45/17 ).
Straight up bargain and not a single regret.

Great review, I'm a fan of the Continental DWS06+ but considering these, Yokohama, or Bridgestone for my son's car.

"personally" having owned and DESTROYED a set of these tires.
I wanted a tire that was drive ALL year, RUNG what you brung, AutoX, Track, Highway, commuting, winter, spring, summer, fall, rain or shine.
UNhappy with MANY tires on my STI and over the years 99% of my cars I've come to love TWO more than ANY other tire on the market with a LIST of reasons why Ive chosen them over even FREE sponcered tires from other companies... STILL rather PAY my own money for.
Toyo proxe Sport A/S and the whole proxe line up of tires if you can afford to have multiple sets. they have been INSANE performance to budget aswell as all around being a SOLID tire that hasnt given a reason to change to a "grippier dedicated summer" or dedicated winter! which including my "sportier" driving habits and SPIRITED driving style... these guys do not last 40,000 miles and I've come to claim a free set from "premature" wear. (kinda like Nitto did!) ( *their miles are too low as they caught on to the Nitto tire scheme!* )
    and
Falken Wildpeak, specifically for trucks the M/T *maximum traction* (so much tech into a KNOBY quiet smooth tire!) and their A/S for everything else, (ive shoved them wildpeaks on EVERYTHING from chevy sonic's, subaru's, impala's, hyundai's if you dont care about the more "knobby meaty look" and want to have traction ALL the time. Snow and rain do not phase these tires...

Only "issue" I've found is if your going NUTS ham wild. TRYING to slide... the Toyo proxe A/S like to grip and slip, almost a buck; which can become very rythmic and snappy if let/left unhinged/push unhappily.

How much did it cost to install and balance them ?

    • @JUL-TORQ
      @JUL-TORQ  Před rokem +1

The installation was sponsored by Toyo

Typically its around 40 Dollars USD to mount and balance/install a tire. Per tire. On top of the cost of the tire itself... @abel tabares

Goodyear Eagle Sport tires are better

I think it just depends on the car and the drivers driving habits. I honestly tried both tires on my car and i do prefer these toyo tires over the eagle sports
