Peter Jackson said that he never used any material from Let It Be in Get Back. Let It Be is a cleaned up version of the original film, with improved video and audio. Get Back is all the unused material that was not used in Let It Be.
Peter Jackson didn’t use anything from Let It Be in his documentary Get Back. And he has said that several times. Watching this one is worthwhile for the performances included.
The "LAST ALBUM" that The Beatles RECORDED is "Abbey Road", NOT "Let It Be". "Let It Be", however, is the last album that the band RELEASED. Just a point of clarification...
"I Me Mine" was re-recorded from scratch in January 1970, new George's vocal was added to "For You Blue" instead of the old one, the orchestra and choir were recorded and overdubbed to "Across The Universe", "I Me Mine", "Let It Be" and "The Long And Winding Road", the new bass, solo-guitar and drums parts were recorded for "Let It Be" - all in 1970. So, yes, "Let It Be" WAS their last album.
Lennon didn’t participate in 1970. A forerunner to the Anthology “reunion”.
TWO songs that were PARTIALLY recorded in 1970 doesn't meet the criteria of an "album"! And this is ESPECIALLY true, given the fact that the band's founder, John Lennon, DID NOT participate in the 1970 sessions.
Abbey Road, OTOH, was recorded and released as an album, and WITHOUT A DOUBT, should be considered as The Beatles' last album.
@@alanstein5930 and what to do with "I Me Mine", though? It was recorded AFTER Abbey Road anyway.
Some of us from that era need no explanations, but I am sure it would help younger people
nice im interested to check this out
I’m not a fan of the Beatles but there is one film I’m still hoping to come back on Disney plus is Artemis Fowl
Looking forward to the Blueray
I hope Andrew from “Parlogram” is looking forward to watch this movie, and I hope Andrew is going to review about “Let It Be” in a future video.
This is superb I can’t really see what all the fuss was about 👍🏻
I'll be checking out Let It Be. I'm a Beatles fan. Should I watch The Beatles Get Back before I watch Let It Be?
This is up to you! I mean, I think 4 generations would be able to watch Let It Be for the very first time anyway lol
I would say watch LiB first.
Hey, Disney--you ever going to make your own new stuff, or just keep rehashing others' work and claiming it as your own because you BoUGht thE rIGhtS...?
A dreary mess then, a dreary mess now.
It has it's moments, esp the rooftop concert.
