Exact Rules-
We need to try and get to as many train/bus/ferry stations in the space of five hours
The challenge will start at 1:55pm and end at 7pm. The first five minutes is for walking to your desired start point, no traveling.
The only transportation methods allowed are transperth bus, ferry, train, and foot.
A visit is counted when travelling through a station, even if a train doesn’t stop at the station.
Special event stations are counted.
Perth, Perth Busport and Perth Underground are counted as the same station.
Elizabeth Quay Bus Station, Elizabeth Quay Station, and Ferry are counted as the same station.
Perth Stadium train and bus stations are treated as the same.
Curtin Central and Curtin bus stations are treated as separate.
A station can be counted upon arriving at it, where the front of the train enters the platform, before coming to a stop.

Definitely would recommend, the trip to Mandurah is pretty cool if you're super bored and wanna explore
I remember doing the record for all the Transperth Train stations as fast as possible an managed all 72 stopping not passsing them in 5h 50m 56s.
the rules I followed where:
As soon as the train stopped is when you arrived and as soon as the train left as when leaving the station. I recorded arival time and departure time.
You must stop at the train station for it to count not passing through like in some service patturns or event stations this means must catch a service that stopped at Showgrounds and at stadium station on the same day.

I almost instantly knew what they were planning lmao. I frequently use the 999 when its not too busy out on the road to save a few minutes on my commute. Well played Stefan :D

You should do the same thing but with bus stops so would have lots to count and less backtracking down the same line. Great video!
i'm heading to perth on a holiday soon and i might actually use steph's route to try and film the a series trains before they're gone lmao
I think it would have made it more interesting if stations passed through without stopping didn't count. Brings the Thornlie line into play.
I almost got killed by a random guy in the city center of Perth. This does not change the fact that Perth is a great lovely city, with cool and friendly people. The only reason I don't miss Perth is the experience I had there.

The app they were using is called transit, available on google play and app store. Hope this helps!
Just some info, it says departs in 2 mins, not arrives. Sometimes like at Perth station they sit there fir 5 minutes, so it can say 6 minutes but thats when it departs.

Didn't the Armadale Line train skip the stations like Victoria Park and Welshpool, but you still counted them? Or did you get one of the rare stopping services.
Also Why did you start at Perth, that just made you lose so much time as you had to travel the Armadale Line twice.
1) No, the train didn't stop at all stations, we counted any station that we drove past. This included special event stations.
2) We started at Perth so we could officially begin the race together, however this may be changed in future challenges due to the inefficiency.
You should try in now with the airport line running

Why did you double do some of the trains instead of taking another route? like going to freo and back only counts once
wait, could u go to the same station twice?
You were allowed to a station twice, but it wouldn't be counted again. We went on the same train twice because it would be super inefficient to wind our way back to Perth using buses.

What app did you use for the timetables? It doesnt look like the standard transperth app.
The app we used is called Transit, it's the only app (apart from Transperth which sucks) which will show live bus/train times in Perth, hence why it was used.
