Is 258' pro level distance? seems a bit wussy.
Its not the distance, its the complexity of the hole. He made is look easy , believe me its not.
In this case it actually really makes the pros have to focus on distance control, because not only is it short, but it’s very downhill and the green is sloped downwards, and the line to the basket is very tight. Not every hole has to be about big distance
@@Royal73Flush well it has a below par average of 2.79 and 85% of the field birdied or parred hole 9. Not quite that difficult.
@@harryteevee9569 almost averaging par is pretty decent for such a short hole. Idlewild is pretty scoreable in general
258' with an extremely downhill green and maybe a 10 foot gap 70 feet off the tee that you have to shape your shot through. I've parked this hole plenty of times and seen it aced in am tournaments, but I've also seen very good players take 4s and 5s from unfavorable kicks into narnia and I've had great shots roll down the hill almost to the next tee. Distance isn't everything. Based on my Udisc history at this course, the 2 of the easiest holes for me are 969' and 640' and I'm very average am. Elite players dont only need elite distance, they need elite execution.
