Fun fact: Shayne's 119.4 decibel scream is actually the same volume as the previous world record for loudest scream recorded. The new world record is 121 decibels and I think Shayne can do it.

Ok is nobody going to talk about how close Shayne is to being literally the loudest person ever? The world record loudest scream is 121.7 dB and Shayne's was 119.4 dB. 2.3 decibels away from being the loudest scream. He should go for the record.

2.3 is ALOT because of the the dB scale works, i think 3-4dB difference is twice as loud so its not too close

When I was a kid and would get into a fight with one of my brothers I would do this high pitched shriek to make them leave me alone, it sounded a bit like this but even higher. Now I don't get to scream like that an I probably wouldn't even be able to. I did an expeeiment when I tried to scream on a completely empty beach when I was on vacation and it was so hard to make myself actually scream. So that makes me appreciate it so much more when someone can actually get loud.

I’ve made direct eye contact with one of my friends as I watched him shove his entire mouth piece into his mouth(he’s an alto sax and I’m a flute) so watching Shayne do the same didn’t effect me but Courtney’s reaction did because yeah normal people haven’t watched someone plunge an entire mouth piece into their mouth
the decibel scale is logarithmic, which means that olivia’s scream was literally ten times quieter than the next quietest
