I just discovered Avatar last month. I've had Hunter Gatherer on repeat and now I'm starting to delve into their catalog. Im not a metalhead at all really but what a band holy shit! New favorites for sure.

@Stephanie Colburn I can agree with you on Avatar but Ghost is a band that I never really got into, I like the instrumental parts but the singing is way too popish for me.

My band , Minor Nine opened up for them this year, and it was a life changing experience to hang with these guys and see them up close and personal...Hail the Apocalypse!!

Thugzilla I like the sort of screechy and unorganized and uncomfortable sound of his growls for this song, it fits the theme and topic of this song.

This is so different from what they are doing right now!! I guess I like this type of "classic in-flames-ish" melodic death metal. Anyway, their new record is also good.

10 years passed since their performance as a supporting act to Helloween & Stratovarius in Thessaloniki, a night that I'll never forget. Some things I recall from that night? Running through some farming fields with my brother to find the live stage, my torned up leather jacket (moshpit casualty) and the awesome feeling of the first metal concert in my life. I still have the homonymous CD signed from all the members of Avatar that night. Thank you for everything, love from Greece.

ledzanna I may be young, not THAT young, however, I also haven't been to too many concerts, I know how to spell,because apparently you don't understand the purpose of the red squiggly line, and also, they're just really good. They have great stage personality, they play well live, and sound generally close to their album sound.
ledzanna im 26 and my first concert was panteras tredkill tour.. I too will say they are amazing live and put on one of the best shows.

I'm 41 and I've gone to a ton of shows. I saw Avatar for the first time at Knotfest 2014 and they blew me away!
They could have easily played the main stage and had people rocking out.

I remember finding this song during my sophomore year in highschool. I would play it on a loop for hours on end. I cant even explain the immense nostalgia this song brings me.

I agree that it is a mystery why this does not have 3 mill+ views. This songs is just flat out incredible, and such a good icon of the style of metal that is scandivian.

Raynor happens to be the greatest Starcraft character IMO, but Kerrigan's a close second.
Also if you know Avatar,... who already wrote All Hail the Queen, For the Swarm.
For the swarm has nothing to do with Starcraft, its about the fable to the album. Watch some interviews with avatar about feathers&flesh.

OH god, seeing this video was amazing, especially considering that after a while you start to realize that the video was filmed on the same concert that you were on, and you're somewhere at the front and in the middle of all those crazy motherfuckers. That concert, despite how small it was and the lack of people, was the best goddamn concert I've ever been to.
I swear on ALL I have, I WILL travel to Sweden, and I WILL listen to you GODS live.
