- Sylvanas Defeat Cinematic. All Cutscenes. In 9.1, Chains of Domination, the Jailer manages to obtain the final sigil from the Arbiter. He completes his transmog, and proceeds to enter the swirly portal with Arthas-Anduin. Sylvanas is left behind to suffer judgement. Totally didn't see this coming. Nope.

Tyrande vs. Sylvanas. All Cinematics. In 9.1, Chains of Domination, Sylvanas Invades Winter Queen's Forces. She summons the wrath of Tyrande, infused with Maximum Night Warrior Power. Her plot armor kicks in. Anduin steals the sigil from Jaina & Bolvar, as the Jailer tidies up his raid.

Hiya Folks. Jailer completes his ultimate transmog and becomes Megatron. Sylvanas gets feelings and points her bow at Megatron.
Manduin gets to keep his Arthas transmog as he goes into the swirly portal of doom. At the end, Bolvar, Jaina & Thrall go to loot Sylvanas’ transmog.
What.. what's even going on anymore? The rest compiles the Primus' Warning about the Sepulcher & freeing the Runecarver.

Gonna theorize elune will come down from the heavens and scold the good guys for being mean to sylvie and force them to give her another chance at redemption hence why she wasnt ended by the night warrior tyrande since she will play a crucial role at saving the universe/reality or something of that sort. i like how she says she will not serve yet according to the recons shes been serving him since wrath. so like five expantions like ten times the amount of time she was serving arthus? oooh and then she resurrects him too, just wonderful makes so much sense if you know nothing about wow and comepletly ignore everything that has ever happened ever.
Its not redemption if youre evil not by choice, but by being corrupted to the core by evil endeath maw magic. Its far more like getting set free or saved at that point.

@Holo Lives Matter Garrosh had an entire books worth of trial where baine was his defense attorney and had to argue to spare his life. And they were going to execute him (he said if given the chance he would do it all again) but a bronze dragon got involved.

@@carrastealth except Sylvanus has never shown herself to be naive enough to actually believe herself to be partners with a god. Every alliance or partnership she's been a part of (since she died) has been self serving, she'll ally with someone (the horde)(the val'kyr)(Helya) with the complete understanding that it's a means to an end. Her being unable to see that in her "partnership" to the jailer is a fault of the writers not of herself.
I really just thought it was funny that she went on about never having free will, and now being surprised that she does not have free will. Maybe the evil being known as the jailer isn't exactly the Lord of freedom and happiness.
@@MrFwufyClipsHD Yeah bit the Jailer's story is one of being betrayed, done wrong and enslaved himself. Especially in death and what he was tasked to do. It's probably something that resonated with Sylvanas, particularly after seeing what the Shadowlands were truly like. I am sure the Jailer appealed to what she had seen and had convinced her he wanted to end that. But it was a lie. Or if he was telling the truth, once he got his powers back he decided he wasn't going to keep his end of the deal.

You know, this is just the Avengers plotline with a reskin.
The Jailer (Thanos) needs to find four sigils to get that orb thing (infinity stones) so he can break reality (disintegrate half the universe).
So we already know the rest of the story. He'll succeed, we need to forge or find four new sigils, get that orb from him and set things right. And in the final battle, everyone who has ever died pops out of portals to aid us, from Grom Hellscream to Orgrim Doomhammer, probably Arthas and who knows what else.
Sylvanas probably becomes the Ironman equivalent to set things right, sacrificing herself with a heroic death she doesn't deserve
I'm not sure whether it's ridiculous or hilarious. Both, maybe.
It's sad, THAT's what it is. Just like the Return of the King cutscene in BfA. ActiBlizz is creatively bankrupt, and has been for quite some time now.

@@daniilnicesky According to the Cinematic where he takes the Crown of Domination and the Frostmourne from the chained up dude I would say that Kil'jaeden was just a puppet. The Jailor was the " mastermind " behind creating the Lich King and Kil'jaeden just played his part.
Personally I hate this plotline, I preferred it when Kil'Jaeden was actual creator of the Crown of Domination but.. Blizzard RetCon™.. Well, you know.

Maybe they are trying to externalize their sentiments toward the player base through a fictitious character. Remember "You are all nothing" -Sylvanas(but from Blizz). They created this story arc out from no where to have the PC focus their hate towards. Meanwhile, ah poor Arthas..he should be redeemed. still hypocritical. They all should be redeemed from this bad and piecemeal story telling stretched out for almost a year.

I think the only thing backing him up as a villain is the overwhelming amount of power hes rumored and has somewhat shown to have.
Just you wait until WoW's next expansion where they reveal the Jailer was just a puppet being controlled by another, even bigger and even more evil badder guy, and that the Jailor was just trying to prevent said villian from causing destruction.

@@PTDeimos They could technically do that and pull it off using the Old Gods. But it would have to be he didn't realize that he was being their instrument. All that he thinks he has done, his reason for never seeking repentance, is because Old Gods have been whispering to him - keeping him insane with anger. Once he has gathered up all the power of the Shadowlands and brings it out to the rest of the Universe, it will be theirs for the taking. Sure, he may kill several of them - if he even realized he was being driven mad - but isn't that how the Old Gods worked? Sheer manipulation. They could take his power or use him to fight the Titans (or the Legion, or both...) - their version of Sargeras if you will.
The main hiccup to this, in my opinion, is wtf were the Dreadlords doing? Serving the Legion somehow? Serving the Jailer? Or serving themselves in some other absurdly stupid way?
This game has become so stupid and incomprehensible that it's literally a satire of itself...

Desperation. She wanted to die and be with her loved ones....than she learned even THAT wasn't possible and she'd be condemned to eternal torture. The Jailer probably swooped in and used that to manipulate her.
She was never smart. Ambitious yes, angry yes. Backstabbing oh yes. But smart... No. None of her attempts to make a smart chess move ever worked out since her lucky shot with taking over plagued lands, yet it didn't require anything but lucky timings. Same with all of her success history. And reading betrayal signals was never her strong side as well. She is just a suffering elf ranger banshee who is confused and full despair. Yet she is still evil and corrupted, a terrorist. And should be judged as one, unfortunately even though she seems likable.
@@ryanmoore6259 She wasn't even condemned to the Maw. Somehow the Jailer got her when she had no business going there in the first place. The first time she saw the Maw was after Wrath at which point she had a small body count she shouldnt have gone to the maw but somehow the Jailer pulled her in (likely using the nine valks or because he had part of her soul from Frostmourne).
We have a lot worse people going to the Venthyr Sylvanas may have started one war but we have Sinstones of beings that destroyed entire worlds of beings.
@@Nathreim1 No she was meant to go to the maw. She did a lot of evil shit as the banshee queen. She tortured humans and dwarves, created abominations, blighted land, etc. She did enough evil to where she was doomed to the maw but she struck the bargain to avoid staying in the maw. She thought Zovaal was going to destroy the machinery of death and that we could live how we want after we died. However, Zovaal just wants all to serve period. From the moment she even saw the mournblade she began questioning everything.

Yea. We have no clue what he is up to... so we have no way to relate to him or empahtise with him. Like, Kale'Salad is a complicated character because he wanted to save his people no matter what.
Jaina used to be complicated - she was insanely powerful but just wanted peace with the Horde for the sake of Theramore but would get her hands dirty to defend her home. She was also personal friends with Thrall which added extra spice to the stories. With Theramore's destruction - yes - she became more hardened, but she lost a lot of complexity and now she's just 'angry/fuming' all the time.
Thrall... well the less I see of him the better.
Anduin could have been more complicated. I thought they were going this way with BFA when he dropped the sword in the cinematic and went full Holy Priest, but he is back to being a Pala-- err Death Knight now. They could have given him some daddy issues he needed to work through - but nope, generic Paladin plot line. I hope they examine his mind after all of this. If he's not having conflicts between the Light and being consumed by Death... what even is the point in anything?
Cairne? HE HAS BEEN SITTING AGAINST A GOD DAMNED WALL... he's not even in this cinematic. The dude has such a crazy cool backstory and he gets ZERO screen time or activity.
Velen? His timeline double got one cool moment in WoD and he's basically in the Space Bahamas, completely cut-off from any development or story in SL.
They're just not allowing the story to breathe and let the characters show real emotion, which makes it really hard to watch.

Game became boring professions don't really mean anything. I used to like farming crafting my purple items felt pretty good. Now blacksmithing, tailoring, and leather working don't mean much because they used to create legendaries.

SO basically this entire expansion was a waste of time and we lost at.... everything.

Not really a Redemption Arc. Sylvanas always has a habit of thinking she's in control of a situation and fucking herself over when it's too late. It's how she became a Banshee in the first place. She's not being forgiven for what she's done. She'll likely be spending the rest of her existence in the Maw, or in Revendreth as an Anima battery.
Assuming Tyrande doesn't execute her for Teldrassil.

(He wants everyone to serve him and be his lil minions)

(Sylvanas thinks back to when arthas turned her into a banshe and forced her to kill people)

(Sylvanas wanted to change the afterlife after she threw herself off the top of ice crown and was tortured after death. This was when she teamed up with the Val’kyr. After the Val’kyr resurrected her she tried to become immortal so she won’t be tortured again but her plan failed so then she tried changing the whole afterlife but when she realised the Jailer was planning on turning everyone into his mindless slaves she rebelled.)
“Pity” -Jailer
(Jailer is sad because he lost his banshee babe)
“Still chained by mortality” -Jailer
(Despite being an undead banshee and having no soul, apparently she is still has morals and up until now all the slaughter has just been so she wouldn’t get tortured for all eternity when she dies but she actually isn’t doing all this just to kill everyone)
“You did help restore something stolen from me” -Jailer
(Jailer got his soul restored which had been placed in the Arbiter. It’s actually rightfully his.)
“Allow me to repay you in kind.” -Jailer
(Jailer gives Sylvanas the rest of her soul back. The Jailer had part of her soul because that’s where the fragmented piece went after she had her soul split by frostmorne. The same thing happened to Uther as you can see in the bastion afterlives cinematic he has his soul torn in two.)
“I leave you to their mercy” -Jailer
(The Jailer expects them to kill her after having given back her mortal soul)
“Come, be the first to witness reality’s end.” -Jailer
(The Jailer is going to remake the afterlife and maybe life as well. Also anduin drops his locket meaning that he’s completely mind controlled unlike how arthas kept his locket despite having cut out his heart and being mind controlled by the helm of domination)
“Cannot let him reach the-“ Sylvanas
(Sylvanas trying to warn us about the next thing the jailer needs to enact his plan of evil but loses consciousness)

@@ceratedsign4825 the storytelling is pathetic. if you want to keep up with the big lore and important story aspects, you have to read books and comics blizzard releases. The storywriters are extremely biased against Alliance so they always come up with a plot where alliance loses 90% of one race while horde loses one warlord and considers it fair. Sylvanas has had massive plot armor since she was first introduced in WC3 so you know she won't be ever punished even though she committed more war crimes than all of the US presidents combined (2 genocides, torture, mindcontrolling, causing wars with sole purpose to cause as much death, etc.). The story is simply wayyyyy too predictable because of blizzard's bias. Literally everyone expected this to happen.
Gameplay wise it's not the worst mmorpg, the raids are interesting and fun, classes are also pretty fun and well balanced, but there is significantly more painful repetitive weekly grind compared to other mmorpgs and really shitty reward system (no guaranted gear from raid bosses or end of mythic dungeons)

@@mylesscurlock5570 Pretty sure Durotan has his fair share of battling and killing Draenei when the Orcish Horde turned against their neighbors and had participated in the First War before he and his wife were murdered by Gul'dan's assassins, leaving Goel/Thrall an orphan.
Illidan really has issues to work out especially when he failed to win over Tyrande who chose Malfurion in the end, and decided to do many dark things that the Night Elves would balk at such as becoming Demon Slayer against the Burning Legion and tapping into the powers of hell itself.
Lol, Sylvanas must really be that stupid to trust Jailer who is obviously more evil and a Thanos-like villain, ending up exactly serving him and his goals despite she does not serve, and for some reason she did not have a contingency plan in case of the scenario where The Jail will backstab her and act accordingly.
As for getting her soul back, that sure won't give Sylvanas a free pass after all she had done even if she helped the Alliance and Horde to stop the Jailer. I have a feeling that she will just be easily forgiven and no hard feelings against her compared to Arthas who got dumped down to the Maw by Bluther and Garrosh ended up being on Purgatory-like afterlife.

WoW writing has almost always been bad. They got some really good writers at first, and as much as some people dislike Knaak, he was a far better writer. He managed to turn the inconsistent mess that Warcraft's lore was, into a coherent story, and do it all in universe with the War of the Ancients trilogy. But they got rid of him, and then put people like Christie Golden in charge, despite the fact that she can't write worth shit. She has no idea how to put a story together. You can even tell what is her idea, because it just reeks of her writing.
She doesn't know crap about WoW's lore. She just writes what she wants to, for cheap effects.
One of my guildmates said that this expansion is the expansion of missed opportunities and this script is no different. The Jailer should have respond to her "I will never serve" with

He's had possession of the soul that Arthas' blade stole from her all this time, and when he said serve, that was what gave it away, that he's been manipulating her for nearly two decades.

I think she was overwhelmed by the emotions she was able to feel again,as her soul was restored. Thats why she passed out, but i guess they'll explain it more in detail at some point. At least i hope so.

@@Sinful-Princess69 it's not ner'zhul now that got retconned twice. first they retconned it to arthas killed nerzhul inside the helm then they retconned that to it was zoval all along. so it was the jailer who was the ner'zhul who were killed by arthas who were the lich king who were the jailer who's zovaal.
but they completely forgot about the God Of Death Yogg-Saron manipulating the crown itself (ending cinematic: arthas's father saying the exact same line as yogg-saron told the players in ulduar, with the line "He will learn, no king rules forever, only death is eternal." implying that Yogg-saron is an enemy of the lich king but more powerful than him (explains the corruption of his father's sould inside the frostmourne itself)) (and if you say that yogg meant the "death" he meant was the shadowlands death I need to remind you that Old gods only made for one purpose and that's to serve the void and void itself not death or anything else, like naaru)
