Could someone tell the race caller that the final T in Étonnant is not pronounced? He is saying the horse's name as if it was written Étonnante, which would be feminine.
Nobody just because the race caller is finnish not french. When french race callers pronounce the name of stranger horses they do the same thing. For exemple the R in an english name they don t say it with an english accent but with a french pronounciation . It s logic. Everybody pronounces stranger words with the accent oh the country in which he s living.
When the Nordic cold-blooded and Finn horses race at Vincennes during the winter meeting, the French callers BUTCHER every single of their names. You don’t hear Swedes, Norwegians and Finns complain about it!
