When you allow pressure to escape freely (past the breach/pellet probe) the valve closes faster because the pellet doesn't build up back pressure. This is why you use less air. Accuracy has little to do with because the pellet doesn't know you took out the breach seal. As long as you have a barrel and pellet combo that likes lower speeds, you are good . . .
Yep exactly, I dropped that hint in the video before this one. Avengers 1:18 twist barrel loves projectiles around 800fps or less, as it's a trend on my channel
Iam an engineer and I find the same holds true if you just use different size pellets. I use 177cal pellets in my 22cal and 22cal pellets in my 25cal. This enables air to flow around the pellets and I get the same effect. Also no air behind the pellet leaving the barrel, so there's no back pressure disturbing stability.
Great vid thanks for sharing. I don't even bring the chronograph until I get my gun shooting great groups. And then I only fire a few (5-10) shots through just so I can get an idea of how much foot pounds I am producing from the current projectile. I have found a lot of projectiles shoot great at a lot of different velocities. I think if the gun has a balanced tune it will shoot the projectile well. I have not needed 880-900 with a pellet or 950 with a slug to get good groups that's some CZcamsrs have said. Velocity is an afterthought for me. I do like shooting at higher Powers but that wis only because I like exploding cans. Anywhere between 35 -55 fpe I'm happy with as long as I have tight groups @ my 47 yd Target. I also have 23 yd and 30 yd but if it doesn't do well at 23 I haven't had it to do well at 47 either. Some people say groups will get tighter at longer distances sometimes but normally I stay at 47 yards. Occasionally I'll go to my other spot that has an 80yrd but I don't test there because at 12 magnification I can't trust my vision to hold the same exact point of of aim everytime. Making shooting groups unreliable. I need a higher magnification scope for that. Not sure if I want one as I stay 50 yards in under hunting anyway so that's where 99,% of my practice /target shooting takes place.
@ALLABOUTAIRGUNS not ur normal style! Seemed like a couple other channel's on the tube do these type of muck ups! Always chrono era's, the high at the top of target aim point to see where they're hitting the target at. 😆 🤣 😂 then there's like a final... walk to the target to see where they hit because of their camera and/or phone loses signal. 😳😂😂😂

Not only do pellets group better around 700fps, they are much quieter
