A potential 300+ mph tornado that has a radius of 3.23 miles hits Whelchel and reaches all the way to Hazelton, wind radius all the way to prior lake. Famous last quote "we gotta get closer"

I think the scariest thing about this tornado was that if you look in the background of the damage with the drone, the hospital is basically granulated, it, being one of the strongest if not strongest building of the game, seeing its interior walls only remaining with the skeleton of the hallways is really creepy, the last time I saw something like that was when a 280+ tornado went through Hibbing and that what the hospital looked like there but a bit worse, because some of the hallways were gone in it, and the high rise buildings there were granulated down to the bare slab, with just about a floor worth of support beams remaining.
@@kalebbort9246 yeah. I was almost hit by a tornado that day, it luckily lifted a few miles before my house. It was an unearned tornado unfortunately, but no injuries, that would say otherwise as an EF2 tornado on March 14th of this year, the same day as the Indian Lake EF3 tornado, tore a several mile track eastward, missing my house by a hundred yards, I have a video of it after it passed on my channel, it is the only video footage of it on CZcams from my research.
Yeah but the hospital also offers very limited shelter. Let’s say this is a real hospital with people inside, there is basically no room bc the hallway would be the most interior room since no other room are interior. Also it’s difficult because of the exterior doors and the main entrance which makes the hospital a terrible shelter :/
@@user-cz7pd7wm7c in most cases you would survive a strong tornado, I in fact did survive a 200+ in the hallways perfectly fine. Ohwx also survived a 200+ in its hallways. That’s because the hospital is basically concrete and steel making it hard to breach for tornadoes. The front of the hospital will open up because of the large amount of windows but surviving on the other sides of the hallways would be ok because of the limited amount of windows. Remember this is a game and it doesn’t exactly replicate damage from real tornadoes. The Joplin tornado for instance lifted it off it’s foundation half a foot. Also there wouldn’t be a lot of people sheltering inside it either. It is rumored the hospital in game can get slabbed at 370mph. It takes 210 mph winds just to get rid of the exterior walls.
I was in this server (Drew5556782 in the chat) at the time. This thing was the most powerful tornado I've ever seen, and probably ever will see, in the game. I leave my experience below. I joined the server maybe a minute after it formed. It remained normal (like, EF2 level) for a few minutes before rapidly growing into the absolute monster seen here. I spawned into Hazelton, and started running up the road ahead of it at maybe 2am game time. I was trying to get a probe in front of it when everything kicked off and I ended up in the eye. I was getting tossed around like a tin can in my truck (the basic starter truck, I've been saving up for a TIV1). Any direction I could go to try and escape would lead to me getting tossed back into the beast. Sometime after getting thrown for fourth or fifth time (around 8am game time, during which the storm still made it pitch black), I decided to reset, and ended up spawning in Hazelton, only to be sucked into the vortex while Hazelton disintegrated around me. I then safely respawned at Hiram (you can see my blue truck in the background around 11:30), still hearing the roar of the thing. From that distance, what I thought was just a wall cloud was in retrospect the tornado itself (Shown from the drone in the video). I then went south after spotting another tornado (this time much more realistic and non-glitched) on radar. I dropped some probes (none of which got hit), and by then, the monster had died. I decided to run north to survey the damage, and good lord. Nothing remained of any town in that area. Funkley, Whelchel, Hazelton, they were all vaporized. Even for being a game, it shook me how devastated Hazelton was. Nothing (minus, comically, the walmart) remained. Every tree was debarked and knocked down, and every building was ripped off down to bare concrete. When I first drove up, I didn't even realize I had entered town, because it just looked like a blank field.
I was touring hazelton after the hospital slabber incident of 1.20, and the amount of destruction was insane. Not a single piece of debris, not a single home, not a single twig was left standing. it was all gone, you could barely point out where hazelton started and ended due to the nothingness the tornado had created. Only the high rises were left, mown to stumps. Even the hospital was granulated into dust. It was insane seeing hazel like that.
I’ll estimate since probes that withstand 250+ mph gain usually $2k, I would assume a 3+ mile wide tornado with wind speeds over 300 mph, if the probe didn’t die, it would’ve gained at least $10k-$25k if it survives. I got this estimate by simply combining the crazy wind speed, along with the very long diameter, to get this answer.
@@Nomation10 A tester and some random guy in the discord estimated it wouldve HAD to of been over 300 mph, only wasnt cause there wasnt high enough damage rating and you couldnt get close enough with dow.

Hello fellow strom chaser i seen this post and wanted to say something (You have a good day) I was almost picked up by that strom in a socut and survived it somehow
It can, there are some UB homes that are one story and have a garage in eastern Hazel that have basements underneath concrete slabs, that’s the best chance of surviving any tornado over 200+. Now don’t get mistaken with those houses with the counters in them and the back yard because these UB homes don’t have those. There are 3 of them that I know of taht is on the north side of route 2 behind the apartments on eastern hazel. They are not so easily to find because the only towns that have them from what I know are Wadena and Hazel, possibly Hibbing but most likely not.
