I made some Mian Bao Xia for my late night beer snack.
It's basically a Deep Fried Shrimp Toast.
It's a Chinese dish that gained popularity in Korea ever since it started getting featured on Korean TV shows.
Recommend 10/10.
It's actually quite easy to make besides the fact that you need to deep fry it.
If this didn't require deep frying, I would be making this every single day.
It is important to start deep frying at low temp (when it starts to bubble around the crust), You can even dip your fingertip in oil for a brief moment at this stage.
If you start off at a high temp, the bread will burn and shrimp will undercook.
Also, don't lower the oil temp while you are deep frying because the bread will start to absorb a lot of oil and turn reeeeeeeeaaaaaaallly oily.
Ingredients: White Bread x4 Slices, Butter x1 Tbsp, Prawn x30 (260g), Egg x1, Chicken Salt x1/2 tsp, Starch x1 Tbsp (preferably x2 Tbsp), Black Pepper x?, Oil x? (depends on the pot/pan)

Exploding Pineapples if you understand cooking enough, the oil was just placed in the pan. You cant instantly heat something up that quickly, so it was fine to touch for a bit. Thats why he was fine

I was just trying to show you guys that the oil temp shouldn’t be that high when you add the toasts
It will burn you if you keep your finger in for too long tho, so I don’t recommend you try it yourself lol

This works with an air fryer as well! Not as troublesome and messy as oil frying but just as delicious!
