    "I'll Reimburse You!" - Django Unchained (2012) #shorts #djangounchained #quentintarantino
    Django Unchained is a 2012 American revisionist Western film written and directed by Quentin Tarantino, starring Jamie Foxx, Christoph Waltz, Leonardo DiCaprio, Kerry Washington, and Samuel L. Jackson, with Walton Goggins, Dennis Christopher, James Remar, Michael Parks, and Don Johnson in supporting roles. Set in the Old West and Antebellum South, it is a highly stylized, heavily revisionist tribute to Spaghetti Westerns, in particular the 1966 Italian film Django by Sergio Corbucci (the star of which, Franco Nero, has a cameo appearance). The story follows a black slave who trains under a German bounty hunter with the ultimate goal of reuniting with his long-lost wife.

      Yes, that is the way to look at how Django pretended to be similar to Candy during that horrible atrocity. 😊Actually when I said heartless and treacherous, I really wasn't even thinking about Django's pretense. I was thinking about the type of man Leo had to portray that was willing to have a man ripped up by dogs for not giving him his money's worth in fights.☹

But DiCaprio in this and sime of the other stuff? He should definitely have gotten an award. I hate that villains or unlikable characters make it hard to give the actor credit. • @lyntonfleming
      @lyntonfleming Před 10 měsíci

      @@thegreatandterrible4508 Well, being a bit racist with your mates is one thing. We all have a certain level of racism that we're comfortable with. For most people, that stops just past "haha asian people are good at math and white people have no culture and black people are good at running".
      But straight up slurs? Degrading, insulting, mocking and ridiculing a race of people that did nothing but have the misfortune to be born the "wrong" colour? That's not a step over the line. That's hitting the line with a TSAR bomb and calling it a day.
      Imagine how scared Leo must have been about being cancelled over this. We have politicians and athletes and actors getting cancelled for things they said when they were 14 years old on facebook 15 years ago, acting as if they haven't matured and grown to regret the stupid things they said back then...
      Even the interviewer who spoke to Samuel L Jackson refused to say "nigga" even after Samuel L Jackson straight up told him to, said it was fine, and that we can't talk about it if you're not willing to say it.
      Because that man knew if he did, he'd have to deal with the hordes of internet trolls who can't tell a quote from a racial slur.

    Excellent movie. Excellent acting. Some really rough scenes about how it used to be. I often say I would like to go back to old west times but man this world would have chewed me up and spit me out. At 43 I’m still trying to figure out how my dad went to Vietnam at 19 as a green beret and survived after losing all of his men. Everyone blown up left for dead and he walked out of that jungle 9 months later. Recieved a Purple Heart. Recovered and went right back over there for almost the same thing to happen again. This country was built by strong men. Here I am struggling to raise my 12 year old son.
