At Stanford, Elder Cook Addresses Faith and Values in Quest for Knowledge

Speaking to the annual Stanford University Convocation Tuesday, October 27, Elder Quentin L. Cook, an apostle of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, stressed the importance and essential roles of faith and moral values in the quest for knowledge.

When you take more principles out of University teaching and wife you have students that I feel do not think as clear critical yes I should. I have been a member of the church for about 17 years now and it has been a total blessing. I have been more of a critical thinker since I became a member of the Church.

Watching this makes me feel bad 'bout not being a student. I was baptized at 8 in a LDS church. At 41 I'm not a LDS-temples member. Also I've never been marriad or near unto. My bishop ignores me. I'm ostracized what. What say ye?

+hetrogamr84 Have you invited your home teachers over? Voice your concerns to them. They're there to help you with your involvement in church and in the rest of your life. And make sure you have your own home teaching assignment so you're helping someone else out, too. I'm sure someone else feels ignored as well and they need you to reach out to them.
