My parents used to buy records like this and as a kid, I would roll my eyes when they would put them on our console stereo in our living room. Today I love these records, mainly because they transport me back to my happy childhood.

Absolutely. Yes, like you, as a child, this used to be 'old folk's music'. Now in my sixties, something I discovered twenty years ago or more, this music soothes the soul after a rough day and is an escape from a very outside dangerous and crazy world.
