you can also get a bolt action rifle in the chapter 2 mission where you rescue sean. one of the bounty hunters has it on his back and he drops it.

in early Chapter Micah's Revolver is very good to tandem with Calloway's Revolver its OP in Shoot and no need to modify..and at the start of the Chapter 2 you can get the Best of all Tomahawk the Ancient Tomahawk near Wapiti Indian.
You can actually get the Bolt Action rifle much earlier on Chapter 2. In the mission "The First Shall Be The Last" as soon as you stealth kill the bounty hunter with a knife, push forward and you will see a bounty hunter holding the Bolt Action rifle, you have to kill him before he knows your here. So instantly shoot him in the head and pick it up.
Yeah I have a video of that on the channel, as well as the Valentine hanging encounter.
The machete can also be obtained in the same mission. You have to quickly kill the bounty hunter that is melee fighting with Charles at the top of the cliff.
It's great to see the night folk are way slower the closer it is to daytime
I got John's cattleman revolver during the first mission with Kieran when he leads us to the hideout of O'Driscolls. Same method as Micah's in this video. Brought a disarmed enemy near John and here it is.
But you should protect John after that
This is without a doubt one of the most detailed videos on free RDR2 weapons out there. Thank you. Especially for including the weapon pamphlets. My only critique is that you should include the chapter for the missions you mention, and more of the dialougue that helps you get some of these encounters (like I know that Javier (and sean if im not mistaken) can tell you about homestead robberies that will lead you to a couple of these free weapons.)

Update for you.
You can get a Bolt Action Rifle earlier. You have to disarm the Sheriff when he is performing a public hanging in Saint Denis. Same with the Springfield Rifle. Disarm the sheriff of Valentine when he is doing a hanging.
Both work. Trust me.
Yeah I have a video up about that hanging and getting it from there. Although I never knew you could get a Springfield from it too, thanks for informing me.
You’re welcome for the info. Just remember that the Springfield only pops up at a hanging in Valentine. I haven’t found it elsewhere early outside of Gunsmiths.
@@sparrowsanzo the Men you Unlock the trap on his foot in Annesburg is the one who can get you a Springfield, just go to Annesburg near train tracks, you can hear the Men shouting of Help, come immediately and untrap his feet then back again later in Annesburg you can see him with his friend in Mail Station sitting there and calling you and he let you to buy anything in Gunsmith, so Springfield is the best to choose in Early Chapter 2..

For anyone on PC who wants the rolling block sniper in chapter 2, start the last mission with the sheep, buy the gun, go into the graphics menu and run the benchmark, quit and then you will have the weapon on your horse.
Just pickup the rifle for free in that mission. No need to run the benchmark.
@@eds1942 If you run the benchmark you get to stay in chapter 2 with that weapon which normally only becomes available after that mission, in chapter 3.

Great vid! Do you know if it’s possible to get Otis Miller’s Revolver before the Angelo Bronte mission?
Yeah I believe it is. It would just require an amazing amount of luck and a lot of time. You would have to hope the sniper doesn’t fire for a longer period of time than usual to allow you to get the chest open, get the photos then eventually the gun (one would have to be collected each time then you would have to go all the way back to get the next)

In the mission where he got the carcano rifle the first two guys he kills, one has a chance of dropping the m1899 pistol

Yep. You can get the Carcano Rifle and if I'm not mistaken the M1899 early on Chapter 4 during a rustling mission with Uncle.
You can get billy midnights pistol which is a mauser during chapter 2
@@cowragegames6880 It lists them as separate weapons. For 100% you’ll need both the standard Mauser (which can be had from ch4 onward) and Billy Midnight’s customized one.
@@politecat9207 One of those two guys trying to pick the lock to the cattle pin, drops the gun. You can one shot them with an improved arrow and break the lock without a gunshot. The old man had the rifle, but I don’t have the heart to steal both his cattle and his rifle especially since he only pulled the rifle to stop me from stealing his cattle,.. what am I saying? I don’t even use carcano useless the mission forces me to use it.

3:19 Was new to me - although the gunslingers' guns are worse than your custom handguns.
As you're including non-guns, you could also include the #BrokenPirateSword (it's still good), #AncientTomahawk, #HewingHatchet, etc, which are just lying around. Plus the fishing rod, although only deadly to fish, can be grabbed off fishermen from Ch.2.
I’ll have to make a video on those ones. I left them out of this one as this video focuses on all that can be collected before they are sold in stores or given to you.
@Dax P Yes, but you can't start Survivalist challenge (3xBluegills) before mission with Jack though.
If you get the bolt action rifle early,can you also loot the rifle cartridges early from the moment you looted the gun?

You can also find perfect condition pump shotguns on npcs, i killed one accidentally and he had one for some reason and it was before you were able to buy it
You can get a golden mauser in colloways missions. Its the one where you chase down a dude on the train and duel him on top of the train. Thank me later❤
You could also get the bolt action from the valentine sherrif (Malloy)

Easier way to get the Calloway Revolver, enter the bar through the back, push the bartender then back up so he runs put the back door chase him for a tiny bit to a little rock formation then go back to the bar and Calloway will be the only one in there beat him to death and you can pick up his gun🙂 lol imagine reading that last bit without context😂, also is it at all possible to get to Otis Millers gun in Chapter 2 so I can dual wield the 2 best revolvers coz that Bronte mission is so far off I wanna stay in Horseshoe Overlook😢

Yeah he seems to do it randomly. I think someone found an easier way of getting it without the need of the horse.
You can also get that Bolt action the first time you go into Valentine and that hanging triggers, or the same rescue Sean mission you can get the machete in.

@@achmadfauzi7601 its random but it should spawn the first time you go into Valentine. If not go into the general store, check the catalog and come back out. Should be there.

about Calloways revolver: since you didn't actually start the mission here it should be available to start again later? and assuming that is true, then you should conceivably be able to collect another of Calloways revolvers at the finale of "The Noblest of Men (and a Woman)" and dual wield them?
You are only able to get the one, someone tested and it shows up as worn schofield or something.
you can have dual Schofield with Calloway's revolver
You can also get Double Barrel Shotgun in Paying a Social Call

Yeah you can mount it before he gets on it although it’s still considered a gang horse and can’t be kept.

It’s spawns in camp in chapter 4 after Angelo Bronte, A Man Of Honour between 12am and 6am.

Oh that’s strange, have you tried saving and reloading? If that doesn’t work I’m pretty sure there are glitches that allow worn weapons to become normal guns, not sure how to do it though.

You have to progress further into the story. You can get one for free before this though if you go to the Rhodes gunsmith.

@@GJ05_ i read somewhere you might get it from killing bounty hunter or lawmen. so far i only use this method to unlock horse. that's how i get my Dutch Warmblood Seal Brown which supposed unlock in Chapter 3.
@@markjohnson1895 I never knew the seal brown warmblood could spawn through lawmen. There could be a possibility of the gun spawning I reckon, I know the rolling block can be carried by them so who’s to say they wouldn’t use a litchfield.

Javiers pistol cannot be kept, the only gang member exclusive weapons that can be kept are Johns and Micah’s.

Ehh, waste of time. I completed the entire game with nothing but a cattleman. With the exception of a few rifles that you're forced to use in a few of the missions, but you get those automatically
