Yeah, I wish I knew before playing it. The game designers made terrible choices and ruined what could have been a beautiful and interesting game, shame.
I abandoned the game in the same place you are (or were) stuck now, the timed lever thing ruined the whole game for me. A word of advice, skip this one and get Tomb Raider Legend instead, or Underworld. Legend has some of the worst boss fights ever designed in video game history, but overall is still a better game than anniversary.
Control Room as someone who has finished legend over 100 times, i can vouch for this. anniversary has pissed me off to the max with how glitchy lara is!! she never grabs on the the walls or grapples whenever i press the buttons. i never had problems in legend.
@@journeyq1 Im at this now... ALMOST DID IT, but then died. And then the game was like... 'you know that checkpoint you had at the lever? why not move that away so you can start even more over'. I'm so pissed. Skipped it lol
I don't understand it. You took more time than me to get that stupid griffin head and yet I'm not able to catch it on time. What do I do? Uninstall the game and regret the money and time I've wasted on it? EDIT: I've finally made it after the 111th time.
@@goldenlion8590the key is, everything has to line up. Pure luck, time and nerves needed. You have to speedrun-it as fast as possible. Unfortunately, there is no other way mate 😢. Wasted like 2 hours on it too 😅
I know this is a late comment but for anyone still playing this game and having trouble. When you get to that second platform with the lever, you can grapple that column you got to climb up with the fire and you can just climb straight up without getting burnt
Had to watch some of it again to see what you were talking about. And yeh, that is a weird! Surely the flames should have come on after I did the lever in the water. Didn't really notice at the time.
In the room with the knives and the timed domes has anyone else had trouble making the second jump from the timed ledge to the column with the knives. Every time I do it Lara won't grab it.

I am on it for a whole week now, everytime I get to it the pillar goes down.
Getting the bronze helmet takes a good while for me to get too.

at 5:16 you can jump straight back to the ledge instead of long way around
Yeh, there's a couple of little short cuts in that room but i kept messing them up and i wanted to get through in one go.

In the original game it was harder, she'd burn until death, except if she entered underwater.
