Em was hurt because a little while back now, snoop said on a video that Em wasn't in his top 10 (which didn't matter) but snoop also said that he could live without Em's music. That hurt Em, so he said that. He also throws a little shot at snoop in "book of rhymes" too, which is also on the same album. But they have resolved their issues and all is good between them now. Snoop doesn't want the smoke lol.

at the start of the song he's talking about Ms Fit who co hosts "MyExpertOpinion" cus he watches that show and on 1 episode that in an interview em referenced in an interview with Crooked she said MGK won and she said she "fucks with" some of Takashis music, Ems not directly mentioned it's her but they worked it out themselves, if you watch the My Expert Opinion episode with Method Man she explains why she's almost certain it's aimed at her 😂

? Not trying to come off as rude or disrespectful but since when has Rap/HipHop music been made for only the male population to enjoy⸮﹖¿
I know that when Rap/HipHop first come on to the scene around the late 70’s to the early 80’s; it was only men that were making the music, which means that the lyrics were coming from a man’s perspective. So that means that men were gonna be more connected with the music more than women would be, but that has changed quickly, just as quickly as Rap/HipHop music evolved.
I mean back in the 90’s Rap/HipHop had female MCs that were representing those women who loved Rap/HipHop music just as much as the men did. Those female MCs were icons in a lane of their own! And if it wasn’t for those first couple of female MCs that put out Rap/HipHop music from a woman’s perspective back in the 90’s, then I don’t think that the genre would have been as widely accepted or would have grown to be one of the most listened to genres of music for the past 20+years. Because if Rap/HipHop was only listened to, enjoyed by, & being made by only the male population…. It just wouldn’t have the fan base, or even the respect that it does worldwide.
So that’s why I’m so confused by the way that you phrased your comment. And like I said I’m not trying to be rude, disrespectful or anything like that. I just don’t understand what exactly you meant by your comment.

9:20 "I bet his label was very conflicted about it" Lol man I'm getting old. This might not even be in the top 5 list of the times he's dug into something political. He's thrown shots and dissed 3 of the last 4 presidents. Definitely not even in the top 20 list of controversial bars.
You should listen to his older stuff. Like his first couple of albums have such a different feel to them, and lets just say his content has gotten a bit tamer over the years. He's so good at projecting his emotions through his music. You can feel the passion and energy in his voice and he tops that with incredible story telling, wordplay and the crazy amount of attention to detail. And to not only be still be putting out records 25 years later, but to still be getting better lyrically is just incredible. He has an insane level of drive and dedication and it shows. He's put his whole life into his music. If you didn't know, he almost died of an overdose in 07 on the day before christmas (which is also his oldest daughter Hailie's bday). He's referenced it a few tracks, but the 2 songs 'Castle' and 'Arose' are about that. You definitely should listen to those, but you have to listen to them back to back in that order. Basically 2 half's of a story. I can hardly listen to them and not get a little teary.

I don’t think there are too many people Em has to answer to at a label anymore. He owns his shady records with is group in with aftermath and interscope records. I think Em has earned that with the label by this point. Another dope reaction Lily. 👍🏻✌🏻
