I'm currently at Episode 1005. It took me 9 months to get here but I don't regret it a little bit. I used to watch One Piece all the time as a kid and to know it's still not over makes me happy.

Just caught upto Wano Arc. It's been one hell of a ride. I can't believe how the animation improved. The story keeps on getting better and better.And honestly I can't make out the drag in this series. It looks like it was all planned from the start. I'm curious as to how one piece will end. At the time you see all the stuff that's spoiled in the opening, the intro begins to capture the whole story of the arc. To me, its musical progression coupled with the imagery of the intro (excluding literally just spoilers 3/4 way into it) makes it feel like it acknowledges the profound sadness of the people of Wano and their deep determination in face of it.

I love that they included that apple at the end. It reminded us of the promise Luffy made with Otama when he gave her that apple and said that he would make Wano a place where everyone could eat their fill everyday. It's like the opening is telling us that the whole thing started from an apple (a promise).

I don’t know why people usually say this is one of the worst themes. In my opinion, it’s the best. You can’t deny this theme hits hard, fits Wano, and it’s nostalgic and gives you the closing feeling at the same time. It’s perfect.

So far, the best representation of it I’ve seen was where it was ranked as the 13th best opening. Decent ranking, but it deserves at least in he top 10, probably even top 5.

I love this opening so much because to be such a dark arc it's so full of the hope and happiness shonen OPs brings? Yet still perfectly captures important moments and characters in the arc. The group and studio made such a great choice I will always love this op.

Started watching One Piece on 12th June 2020 during the lockdown, caught up to the wano arc towards the end of July 2020 in just around like a 1 month span. Secret behind catching up to it soo quickly: Full free time and following the episode guide to avoid fillers and specials. Now I'm reading the manga and currently in chapter 986. I'm telling you as far as I've read, things are heating up greatly in Wano.
I'm avoiding manga (not that I hate mangas I read a lot of mangas) but One Piece should be watched in anime only! That's my logic lol! Anyways have a good day!

You know I have this little theory that pops into my head every now then. Toeis a big company right? Like really big. My theory suggests that every so often Toei conducts a nation wide and often world wide survey on how big the manga reader population of one piece is compared to the anime only population.
They use these results to determine what to put in their openings as far as spoilers. If you look back from opening one all the way to 23. There's a point in which the openings go from having no spoilers at all to suddenly having them.
I do believe that that's the point where the manga reader population skyrocketed. And the anime only population dwindled. And that point my friends. Is after the time skip. Episodes were taking too long. People got impatient so they decided to read the manga.
Bottom line. With the manga reader population being so much bigger than the anime only population Toei decided to put so many spoilers in their openings bc they wouldn't be spoilers to the manga readers but a treat for our eyes at seeing our favorite panels in the manga animated.

It's been many years with so many awesome openings that it's hard to pick favorites. That being said, I don't think I've been this hyped for an opening since Water 7. Back when Usopp broke both arms trying to take on Luffy just to save the Going Mary. One Piece is all about fighting for your dreams. A masterpiece imo.
