DLSS frame generation has really changed the game, you can barely notice it and it doubles your frames! I got a 4080 this week and it’s obsoletely insane. I was getting 120 fps rt overdrive

you can force-enable ray reconstruction on ray tracing by editing one line in game files. though it is quite unstable, probably the reason it is only available for path-tracing
The settings you want with that card is 1440p hight with dlss quality, frame gen, with RT reflections on rest of RT off or 4k dlss performence with same settings otherwise imo.
Screen space reflection above high is very expensive. If you want more performence turn of RT reflections and just set high settings but keep DLSS.

Best way to play is with the pathtracing ultra mod on nexus mods and then dlss quality, frame gen and Ray Reconstruction at 1440p
One thing I've noticed. If you play with a controller, the input delay from FG doesn't feel nearly as bad, even at lowerish frames. 60ish. Just another option for people that don't mind playing with a controller instead of MKB
people come to PC to play FPS games because they want to use keyboard and mouse, not controller...

If You want to Cap your FPS with Frame Generation Enable you have to do it in the Nvidia Control Panel then you are fine and good to go :)

I don't know how you are getting such FPS, i have basically the same rig as you, but the i7 13700k, and in this game 2k, FG, DLSS quality and everything else maxed out i get aroung 85-90 fps. It's not that bad but given that my cpu in more powerfull, shouldn't i actually have better fps than you ? I updated the bios, I have REBAR active, i tried all sorts of quirks and features in the bios and Nvidia control center, but for some reason i don't have the extra 20-30 fps you seem to get in these games. I don't mind that much, i still have a decent fps count, but i'm still really curious as to how you are getting these results. Thank you !

Guys, I have a problem with my i5 13600kf. Today I decided to overclock It in the BIOS to play Phantom liberty, but temperatures went up from 75 up to 100 degrees Celsius, and I only overclocked It to 4,1ghz, what Is wrong?

soit tu as un AIO qui est défectueux si tu en a un, soit tu as des malwares qui font surchauffé ton CPU et ton GPU en forçant l occupation au max , le mieux avec le soft DDU désinstaller tes drivers GPU et installer les tous derniers et ZHPClener et SuperAntiSpy ses 2soft sont gratuit et vont supprimer de ton Windows des malwares et enfin en invite de commande en administrateur un petit sfc /scannow vous pouvez copier coller cette commande dans l invite de commande mais je redit en administrateur sinon ne fonctionne pas ca répare en auto les erreurs de la base de registre fait par les malwares ou autres

It's nice to see that with a 4070ti and a 5800X3D 1000$ combo you can probably hold 60fps 1% low all the time and get a truly smooth FHD Ultra experience for the price of only two PS5. PC gaming is great again. Yeaaaaaah

Oh more than enough. Its enough for my ultrawide and i even upscale it to 5120x2160 and can play every game with dlss quality and get around 60 fps. Especially with frame gen. I get 100 fps in starfield ultra with dlaa on.

Wow that cpu is quite a beast. I have the ProArt OC 4070 ti and im consistently getting 15% to 20% lower frame rates than you at 1080p and 1440p with a Ryzen 7 7700 😮
I mean ... that's a very bad gaming cpu choice. I love Ryzen and I have 5800x3d so I'm fine in all games but you should've gone with a 5600x it's almost exactly the same performance as a 7700 in gaming and it's much cheaper. Or if you can afford it 7800x3d is literally the best gaming cpu available atm without spending obscene amounts of money on a 13900ks

Alan Wake 2 is yet another unoptimized game that relies on DLSS and Frame Gen to even achieve 60 fps.

Frame Generation is a good reason to get the 4000 series from NVidia. Though I don't see any reason to get a 4070 or 4060 other than the FG. Maybe the 5000 series will be great if NVidia learn from the issues with the 4000 series.

Trust me, they will learn something, but not an issue. What they will learn is even when they release mediocre products and only market them with software features like FG and DLSS 3 at historically high prices, people will still buy their products. I dislike the 40 series entry and mid-level cards because they really do not delivery a significant raw-power gain improvement from the access to DLSS 3, which does not really work on all titles. So the 50 series will probably only get worse if AMD does not make a performance breakthrough by next-gen

2060 is minimum for Alan Wake 2
For me, with a 4090 and a 1440p monitor, every DLSS mode looks super blurry. If I add sharpening, all the lines are super refined and strong, looking very bad.

The 4070 is the only 4000 series card you should get because the other ones are wayyy to expensive for what they are.

I'm not even sure how you're getting such low frames, I just got a Gigabyte 4070ti and Im getting 90fps+ in a bunch of different 1440 configurations with ray tracing enabled.

When you are playing games for 100's of hours at a time you can definitely tell when ray tracing is on and when it is off. Anyone who says, "Nobody can really tell the difference anyway." just hasn't spent very much time playing that game.
This 4070 ti is a very good option for 4k gaming. But Vega 7 isn't tho (can you test it anyway?) ((Please)) 🙏

Just finished the Phantom Liberty main story, from "Dog eat Dog" to "Killing Moon".
The gameplay was buttery smooth, no latency or any kind of issues.

@@-Burb In the Killing Moon mission I helped Songbird and killed Reed, I`m back in Night City and the story continues. I Already done 4-5 Mr. Hands side quests, the story and gameplay is still interesting. Later I will go back to the Firestarter mission and will betray Songbird to play the other storyline😊

Wanting these settings: 1440p RT Overdrive / DLSS Quality / RR / FG, but for Ultrawide. Hardware Unboxed did a good best performance settings as well. If I'm or any is planning or wanting to buy a 4070ti 12gb, should pump your brakes for a bit. After the 12gb backlash and lack of sales for certain GPUs, they will release the 16gb version. PROBABLY, for the same price if not a little bit more while making the current 12gb obsolete. Looking for a PCIe 5.0 1000w PSU now.
The 12gb version won't get obsolete but will get a reduction in price which might make it more appealing for some other ppl.
4070 is currently one of the best selling GPUs on Newegg. And it has 12GB. 4070 Ti is selling pretty good too. And 3060 12GB is on top. For the moment 12GB GPUs are the most popular ones in terms of sales.

As a 4070 ti owner I can confirm the 12GB VRAM ceiling is an issue in this game. There's 4090 videos on YT demonstrating this game easily goes over 15GB VRAM usage at 4K + PT&FG

Add a few more hundreds and get the best of the best - 4090, which is 35-40% faster than 4080. 4080 is neither here nor there - much slower than 4090, yet not that much cheaper. No wonder it sells so poorly. Most people either stop at 4070 Ti level or reach the top tier.

If you play on controller you don’t feel a input latency game is smooth even in 60 fps with FG. I don’t understand why people play games on PC on mause and keyboard xD this is so weird. I have high-end gaming PC and i play only on xbox elite v2 controller, smooth as hell even in 60 + fps with FG! On consoles some games in nativ 60 fps have input latency 90 ms and nobody complain. On PC you have 70+ and is bad….No if you play on controller.
We want new cards to be able to produce real frames like they have done, frame generation should be for older cards such as 10 and 20 series.

The 4070Ti as shown at higher resolutions, is really hamstrung but it’s paultry 192-bit bus💩💩 and lowly 12GB VRAM💩💩. For an $800USD base price price😱🤯 …. that’s really bad!
Also FG is it’s own foolish demise😅😂🤣😅😂🤣 ……. as firstly it’s supposed to improve your fps on lower end gpus🤔, which it does, however these lower end gpus don’t have the grunt in many titles and any new titles of 2023 toget a minimum base rate of 60fps+ to eliminate the baaaaad latency issues🤦♀🤦🤦♂🙈 which is needed for enjoyable gaming …… You really need a high end💪 GPU to use FG effectively, but also then you don’t need it as you’re already getting decent fps 🤦♀🤦♂🤦🙈💩
