Bodhi: ‘Little hand says it’s time to rock and roll…’
Summer 1991, Ratt released the final single of their career, "Nobody Rides for Free" which appeared on Point Break's soundtrack album and featured in this cult classic film as the closing credits roll. The title track was penned by songwriter Steven Caton, and the four-minute-plus track is also featured on Rhino's Tell the World: The Very Best of Ratt - a compilation CD that collects 20 tracks from the popular Los Angeles hard rock quintet's releases.
The song and video clearly signal a change in the band. Robbin Crosby did not participate in the recording of the song and was not present for the shooting of the video in which only the four remaining members appeared - The band never again recorded or performed with the original five members.
The music video for the song, showing the band playing on a beach, still is a cool promotional video which intercut film clips from the surf-crazed movie into a Ratt seaside performance. Furthermore, the action thriller still has the balls to give you an adrenaline rush, mainly among enthusiasts for big thrills (Surf and Xtrem sports) and as the tag line states: its ‘100% Pure Adrenaline’.

I consider this one of the last songs from any band from the 80’s glam metal era that still made an impact. It will always be remembered by me as a changing of the guard. This song and movie were released Summer of 1991, Nirvana’s Nevermind came out that same September 1991.

Было в них это чувство удовлетворенности чтоли, когда титры накатывали - что вот такой фильм посмотрел , и он на долго еще в голове остается - на годы.
Был какой то посыл/стиль в них.
Сейчас не такие фильмы,совсем.

Phil Hansen Utah got fed up of how everything went down in getting Bodhi and his 'The Surfing Presidents' crew... hokey superiors, too much losses, lives, and losing Angelo his partner, was too much for him... Though seeing his opportunity to have a 'normal' life with Tyler, he decides to let Bodhi paddle out to his doom, when he should've captured and arrested him. By not doing so, he screwed his career, but he knew that, thus, he chucks his badge into the water.
Another iconic badge tossing scene is with Clint Eastwood as Harry Callahan in 'Dirty Harry' when he blows away the antagonist 'Scorpio' after asking him "Do you feel Lucky, Punk?" Disgusted with the system letting criminals slipping through the judicial cracks, he super chucks his badge into the submerged quarry... Supposedly, symbolizing the end of his law enforcement career... But we all know that was short-lived.
