easy to say in hindsight as a spectator, but if moky was gonna commit to that suicide stock at the end of game 2, the real make-or-breaker was him using his second jump to go to the left instead of to the right. either thought he could shinespike him, or it was just a reflex to get himself closer to the edge idk lol

That game 2 ending was so wonky and Melee is so fast that I hesitate to even call that a "mistake" from Moky, it's more like we are human beings and sometimes you miss the .5 second QTE. I'd love to see PTAS analyze that though, because it looked to me like once Moky was down there, there might not have been a Firefox angle he could've done to avoid Mang0 because Mang0 made it nearly all the way down to the base of the Firefox. He def could've just grabbed ledge or shine spiked instead, but again, Melee's fucking hard in those scrambles.

@@philipshin7016 The truth is, mang0 is good on any stage and you'll have to outplay him at the end of the day if you want to beat him. Moky was a play or two away from winning these games, so it's not like FD was a bad choice.
It's not always about thinking mango will lose. He mighta just wanted a neutral stage where he stood a better chance which is fd for any fox

Literally Uncle Punch has almost that exact same situation. Moky was just trying to be cool imo. Pretty sure just holding ledge would have worked too lol
I think he wanted to armada shine and then thought he would miss it after jumping out and panicked. i think the commentators meant that after you do get stuck down there its hard to know the right way to stall. I agree tho he def should have just grabbed ledge
