We love you and your family, Quang. The language is Tagalog. They thought your filipino and wanted connection. Sorry if they shy away from you, they dont know how to proceed further because they mistaken you as our fellow countrymen😅. We love your channel Quang, keep it up😊
I'm not Filipino but wow does that culture food look so good 😋 I love the different grilled meats on a stick. I appreciate you showing them preparing the food too. Sending you and everyone good vibes ✨
My friend, you definitely found the filipino food jackpot! Seafood City I think, is the best with the most options in filipino cuisine! Enjoy my friend! 😋
I’m glad to see you are climbing up to 3 million subscribers! God will provide for you and your family. Love your videos and how you try such diverse cuisine!
1:59 almost said it right! You are very close actually. Rather than saying it like (pala-BOK) it's more like (pa-LAAAH-bok) Anyways, I'm glad you are enjoying this dish, it's one of my favorites too 🤝 I always try to find it at parties lol
Bro it’s so crazy I just saw this video in my recommendations. I was watching you all the way back when I was 10. Now I’m 16 seeing the channel again time really goes by fast 😂
The seafood city foodcourt restaurant stalls are all still seafood city. It's just branding to give the impression of specialization. In any case, the choices are classic nostalgia items of decent quality.
Forgot to add: don’t mind those Filipinos that act different when you tell them you’re not Filipino. I get the same treatment from them as a Filipino that can barely speak and understand Tagalog 😂
hey quang just a friendly correction, palabok is pronounced - "pa-LA-bok" with emphasis on the 2nd "A" similar to how "ba-NA-na" puts emphasis on the 2nd "A"
Sup Quang... I'm glad you went to Seafood City there in Quebec... fyi - that ala cart style resto is called Grilled City. They have it setup in majority of Seafood City malls. Enjoy!
PINOY sa Pinas andito ! Whoever loves our culture , people and SPECIALLY our food is a pukn PINOY. I a PINOY baptize you as a pinoy by heart. Keep em pinoy stuffs comin, we're here to support you kabayan sa puso.
There is a seafood city near me where I live I have never been there but drive by it plenty of times, after seeing this video and the food I'm definitely gonna go give them a try.
6:17 I mean, Philippines is a mixed bag. They were the hub of the Pacific at one point. I've seen some Filipinos that have monolids and I've seen some that look Polynesian, and some that look Puerto Rican or Dominican.
Man that all looks incredible! Look for farm raised tilapia from Ecuador. They're usually a far higher quality than any other county and it's still relatively inexpensive
9:26 What are you feelings about catfish? Farm raised tilapia basically eat fish poop. I've never encountered wild caught tilapia, though. I'm sure wild caught tastes a million times better.
Its tagalog, but if u wanna know why its because back in the days there was a beef between Vietnamese and Filipino it was around our dad's era, it was mostly in San jose, but its not you in general they dont like, filipino's dont like other asians also so dont take it to heart. In san jose i was running with a vietnamese crew and we use to go to viet coffee shops and billiard hall about 99% all viet inside betting packs of marlboro reds and stuff. But yea great content so dont worry about that we a bit racist and shit specially the older people lolz
The tension you feel with some Filipinos is nothing personal and not b/c they are unfriendly. Rather, it has more to do with a language/cultural barrier. Perhaps you're giving off an intimidating and defensive vibe too. You never know. I live in Cali, in a city with a large Filipino community. I never sensed Filipinos to be unfriendly, but in the service industry, some may appear to be curt, indifferent and even rude. I think this is due to lack of customer service training. I find this to be particularly true of many Asian owned/operated businesses in the West (Chinese, Vietnamese, Filipino, Korean, India, etc). From my experience, the Asian businesses who are always polite and courteous are the Japanese, Thai, Lao/Cambodian, Malaysian/Singaporean, Burmese and others.
bro if u ever make sisig make it with pork ears and face and porkbelly with skin! and im happy u enjoyed our food! older filipinos just haters so dont worry lol
You need to know how to cook it so it won’t taste like dirt I love it I put garlic and some oil and let it seat for a whole and fry it then add lime with spicy sauce and some rice and veggies in the side
Love your channel and your beautiful wife and baby Dragon! Quick question, are you back living in Canada or living in the Filipino? And sorry if the Filipinos look at you differently! Pretty sad! 😔

@@QuangTran. I don't eat tilapia either! Thought I was the only one!

Fabulous Filipino supermarket. Great variety and selections.
That food looks amazing !! They sell such a big variety of foods in that store. And it's really nice that it's made in house on the spot ❤

6:17 I mean, Philippines is a mixed bag. They were the hub of the Pacific at one point. I've seen some Filipinos that have monolids and I've seen some that look Polynesian, and some that look Puerto Rican or Dominican.
filipinos are just extra happy to see each other lol
Man that all looks incredible! Look for farm raised tilapia from Ecuador. They're usually a far higher quality than any other county and it's still relatively inexpensive
Calamansi is sooo good. My closest Asian market has this canned calamansi drink, I get like four cans when I get a chance to go there.

The way Quang is trying to pronounce Tagalog sounds like tanghulu lol. That thing you make with the fruit and the dipping with sugar.
😅
I’m Filipino and yes they get upset when I can’t speak Tagalog. I just say I’m American lol
MABUHAY!!😂
I hear you. Tilapia is a trash fish. Its actually one of the unhealthiest fish to consume.
