Citroën BX 14 RE produced on the 6th of May in 1983. It has the 150c engine with 72bhp and a 5-speed gearbox. It has the Douvrin engine that is also used in the Visa and Renault 14.
When the BX was new, and I was a kid, I didn't like the BX. It was so different, I found it a strange car and didn't know what to think of it. One of my friends parents had a "BX" base model in 1982, which inside seemed far noisier that the GSA they had before and always stalled a few times after starting from cold. Now so many years later, I understand that the BX was a brilliant car, a car designed with supreme function in mind, lightweight, roomy, and economical, because of its uncompromised design. I think it was simply too far ahead of its time, with too modern, too functional design, to be accepted by the majority at that time. Today I'd love to own one.

Still having 1986 BX's 19 TRS (1905cc) with 105hp and two barrel carburetor, that things is incredible agile and fast
