Extraordinary Attorney Woo is my favorite kdrama! I love all the characters. I love the storylines. I like that each episode is different but relates back to her life. Park Eun Bin is amazing. Also, I’m in love with Kang Tae Oh.
I saw this randomly on Netflix, and it caught my eye. My first k-drama and I really liked it. It's an awesome series. I can't wait for season 2.
If you only watch one K-drama, this is the one to watch. You cant help but fall in love with it and Woo Young Woo. Park Eau Bin does a truely amazing job. Each episode is like a movie. The writing is fantastic. The cast is perfect. The Direction is top notch.
In the last 4 years I’ve watched around 200 Kdramas and Cdramas.
Extraordinary Attorney Woo is one of the few shows (along with Vincenzo, Alchemy of Souls, and few others) that I recommend to someone who has never watched Kdramas.
Even my 77 year old father loved E.A.W.

This show should have won all of the awards, including ones that don't exist yet.
Extraordinary Attorney Woo was the very first kdrama that I watched back in Dec 2022. I loved it and it's definitely still in my top 3 (and I hate to say it, but I have since watched more than 150 dramas!!!) I was blown away by Park Eun bin's performance. Outstanding. She looks about 18 years old, so I couldn't believe it when I read she was in fact 29 when she made this drama. EAW is very moving in parts, but also has some lovely light hearted moments too. Can't wait for season 2 but I dont see that arriving much before mid to end of 2025.
Since you love Park Eun Bin you really need to go watch both seasons of Hello My Twenties/Age of Youth. She's fantastic in it, funny enough it was my first kdrama.
@tomfriendly9422 Thanks for the suggestion and I did in fact watch season 1 but not season 2. Park Eun-bin once again showed off her acting ability and versatility in that drama and her comic timing was excellent. Because I was so impressed with her in EAW, I then watched The King's Affection, Do You Like Brahms and Hot Stove League. I was disappointed with the storyline of Castaway Diva, but she was still brilliant and had clearly worked on her singing voice (similar to how she worked on playing the violin for DYLB). Thanks again!
@@slg4180 She really did, she delves more into the serious side in season 2. I know the cast changes made waves but it's still worth watching for PEB and Han Ye Ri.
PEB is definitely one of my all time favorites, her versatility and comedic timing as you said make her really special not to mention her work ethic.
I recommend Park Eunbin's latest work, "castaway diva"
@@F22-Raptor thanks for suggestion but I watched it as it was released. Park Eun bin was excellent, as always, but I was z but disappointed with the overall drama. Too much emphasis on the violence rather than the music/diva side for me.
First ever k-drama for me, while it was being originally broadcast on Netflix. Seen over 70 now, and none of them have been of the same calibre - even Desert Island Diva which was Park Eun-bin's next role. There's been some very good ones - _The King's affection, Do you like Brahms? It's OK to not be OK, Crash landing on you, My mister_ - but none as good.
Who else thinks that Eun-bin is a chameleon? You could watch _The King's affection_ and not be sure it's the same actress as in _Extraordinary Attorney Woo,_ and the same with _Do you like Brahms?_ (let alone _The hot stove league)._
You should watch Age of Youth. Park Eun Bin was very good in it.

I fell in love with the actress for Woo (Park Eun-bin) within the first 15 minutes of her introduction and ended up binging The Kings Affection after I heard she got this part because of her performance in TKA. I have watched this series about 7times, 4 times dubbed, and TKA subbed & dubbed twice. I'm going to watch her newer series Castaway Diva for the 2nd time later today.
great reaction to this show. i came across it by chance and now its one of my top five favorite kdrama's. Secret Garden being my all time favorite kdrama. there is something about this show that just hits you in the feel goods, I've watched this show three times and each time i fall in love with these characters even more. all the actors are amazing and the writing is one of the best I've ever seen in tv series.
Also fyi the show’s title in English is a bit of a euphemism, 이상하다 means to be weird or to be strange, so the show is actually called 'Weird Lawyer U Yeong-u'
I think you're really going to enjoy this. my wife and I did and while she has watched dozens of other kdramas (I watch sometimes), this one really kept my interest.
When i was trying to watch this show i couldn't that's when i knew K-drama isn't for me but I'm glad I'm enjoying korean cinematic masterpieces that most of the K-addicts have not seen

A wonderful series, certainly brought tears to my eyes.
Attorney Woo is one of my top 15 K-Drama's. I'm glad I found your channel. My Mister (starring IU) and It's Okay To Be Okay are the 2 best shows on Netflix, by a lot. I hope you consider those two to react to eventually....if you haven't already seen them.
I absolutely love EA Woo. I have a law degree myself (in the US), so there were a couple of confusing legal points and they run pretty roughshod over what actual court is like, but I also have professional experience with a number of developmentally disabled and autistic people, and the representation here was absolutely wonderful. The mannerisms, mode of speech, and everything was done so well and with such heart.
I'm a huge fan of Eun Bin Park now, watched "Castaway Diva" (the second episode was simply wonderful; it kind of fell off a bit after that but was enjoyable on the whole), and I look forward to "Hyper Knife" (with PEB as a psychotic serial killer doctor -- a really strange and challenging role which I think she'll do amazingly well in).
"King's Affection" was good, but my wife kept remarking that she doesn't look like a guy. PEB masquerading as a male is a bit... well, acting only gets you so far!
I haven't really found that many Korean productions (even the movie everyone got all wound up about a few years ago) all that engaging, but I really enjoyed this show.
Park Eun-bin turned the role down originally, as she thought it might be seen as unflattering to those on the autism spectrum. I am glad she reconsidered.
Can't wait for episode 8.. No SPOILERS !!!

Hey I wanted to add one more comment about her acting as though she has autism. She did a fantastic job of it and never gives up the mannerisms so it really adds to this series but you may not read this because I think you’re a lot further along in this series or maybe you completed it.

Castaway diva is park un bin worst drama. Very boring and not worth watching it. I'm a big fan of park un bin, but Castaway diva is unwatchable

I think the reason why Castaway Diva didn't receive as much praise is because most of Park Eun Bin's dramas are exceptional, so there were high expectations. Compared to her other works, Castaway Diva is seen as "lightweight" and some even find it "boring". Personally, as a fan, I enjoyed it and was impressed by her commitment to training in singing and dancing for this role. She did a great job and could pass as an idol, especially considering she's not a singer or dancer by profession.
