DUARA PAKA NATA

Also called Lakshmi-Narayana bachanika this is the Story of the Closed Door. On the 9th day, when Lord Jagannath returns form his journey to Gundicha Temple, Ma Lakshmi, annoyed for not having been brought along, does not allow him to enter. A verbal duel (bachanika) between them takes place and only at the end of it Lakshmi will be pacified and they will be again united.
