- A week long backcountry canoe trip in Quetico Provincial Park. We completed the Chatterton Falls Loop in July with warm weather and several big storms. Fishing included pike, walleye, trout and bass.
Great trip! We did basically the same trip a few years ago except we ended at Nym.
Very nice, I have been on most those lakes, Really liked Russell, Beautiful lake. Pickeral can be a bear in the wind, but both times I have paddled it, NO WIND. Did a trip last year, came in through NYM. went south and West and then south and did the loup back through Sturgeon Lonely, Walter, back to NYM. thanks for sharing, Quetico is beautiful.
Great video guys. I’ve done the Chatterton Falls loop a number of times from Stanton Bay. Surprised you didn’t show any footage of Deux Rivière stretch. Depending on water conditions, that alone could take 20 minutes or 1.5 hours! Paddle on…
great trip guyz loved the adventure what wild weather well done classssssssssss
Really nice video. Looks like you had plenty of fish to keep it fun.
Cool man, loved all the fishing!
Nice video. One comment: cleaning fish in camp? Not good practice
Nice loop. You had some great fishing too.
I believe you mean Doré Lake. It is French for walleye. Pronounced Dor-A. Great taste in gear - NoBugZone, MEC Sloggs. Looks like my campsite! Nice video and nice walleye! Curious about the no-name lake. There isn't one on the route from Russell to Lonely. Did you portage from Lonely to the no-name lake to the east? I noticed there's a breech in a larger beaver dam you filmed just before that. All the dams from Sturgeon through Lonely to Walter were intact two years ago.
Thanks for the clarification on pronunciation. The “ no name” comment was a joke because of the great fishing. I believe it was Lonely lake. Thanks for watching!
Dore is not French for walleye. It’s French for golden. The shoes of Dore lake are golden. Walleye may be called Dore but it is because they are golden.
Love that part of Quetico. I don’t think cleaning fish in camp a good idea.
Hi, what camera and gear were you using to record this trip?
Hi there, we filmed most of it on a go pro and a few shots with an FZ300.
Awesome video - what time of the year were you there ?
