i have 6700xt for my main pc, but still playing GoT on fhd tv in bedroom that use rx 590 gme. underclocked it -100mv and -100MHz. amazing it play high fsr-q at 50+fps and 100w only. for 7-8 yo card it's amazing
FG works surprisingly well. I tested Horizon Forbidden West on my old GTX 1070 Ti at 1080p with both FSR and FG enabled. I set most things to ultra, and I got around 70-100 FPS. Of course, the image quality isn’t amazing, but it’s still pretty impressive to see that card performing so well in such a demanding game.
This is easily the smoothest game ive ever played on PC. No hiccups, no stutters. Not a single blip. Running it on my RX 7700XT and 5800X3D. I will say that I didn't update the driver as many have reported issues. I kept everything as it is. Game run perfect on release date. Just finished the game
Latest drivers dozen matter. There are always modded drivers available as AMD is known for open source projects. But VRAM does matter more. So glad anyone decided to go with this than the 1060. 🤷♀

Games that run on PS4 would run on RX 580 without much problem. After all RX 580 is on the level of PS4 Pro (slightly better) . Games were released for PS5 could struggle, still RX 580 should be able to run them on 1080p low-med with some FSR.

@@natsu78999 Not really. It manages to have over 80 FPS on max settings with 4070 on 1440p. It's something that Alan Wake 2 and new Hellblade can't do for example.

what is it about getting newest driver? i understand it is to avoid accusation of false results due to outdated driver, however the game was developed months ago, the programmers and testers had 2023 drivers and if you suddenly get weird performance or visual they can only recommend reverting back to older driver which was current during making the game, rather than newer driver after its release.

There's a "tweak" for GTX 10xx series that will disable the Async compute of the game and it will boost the FPS to a reasonable value..
Or a better tweak of buying a graphics card that doesn't suffer from async and won't be dead in next 2 years due to all games having a hybrid render of Rasterized and Raytracing that will be always on

Games that run on PS4 would run on RX 580 without much problem. After all RX 580 is on the level of PS4 Pro (slightly better) . Games were released for PS5 could struggle, still RX 580 should be able to run them on 1080p low-med with some FSR.
