I would think that doing this on the first corner of the match would be a good tactic, as it will make the goalie avoid leaving their goal line for corners for the rest of the match.
@@SandymoorFerrariClub Along that line, back in the old days many teams would aim the first CK directly at the GK's area, then a big CB or CF would go up for it and deliberately flatten the GK. The idea was that the GK would be less willing to challenge for the ball on subsequently CK's during the game.
this is just smart, he is a set piece specialist and it shows by how consistently he can trouble the keeper. Also, keep in mind how low of a success rate corners usually are (only about 13-15% are ever scored)
Its effective and more dangerous than most of the corners I've seen. And it doesn't look he's going to score every time to me. More likely it's a serve to an area where teamnates push gk to fail
He might as well. I think I read somewhere that only about 2% of CK's actually end up with a goal. By comparison, JWP took (I think?) 18 corners here and scored 1 goal. Success rate = 5.6%
Its good, but someone should be at the box line to shoot it after it gets bounced by the keeper. Probably 2 players one on each side, everytime he does this
It would probably be a good strategy in women’s game as they are not as athletic and may not reach the ball, we have already seen a lot of goals from corners in women’s game, then again of course the kicks would be weaker too but you lose some, you win some… Much easier in women’s game to score up in the corner
@@user-xj3mr5fl7d he has such a bad rep in open play, but when in a cam role he has really good pass accuracy and puts some neat balls in over the top...... in west ham moyes just uses him as a defensive midfielder which just doesnt work...

A corner kick is just a free kick from off the side in ward prowse’s eyes I guess
that angle is hard

Yeah they are really difficult to deal with when done well

that's true he is great at free kicks one of the better players in that section
It’s actually quite effective because the keeper has to react by punching it away and then someone can just tap it in.
Can’t be that effective if it never worked nobody scored from any of the corners😂😂😂😂

Got to give him credit he probably practices that in training a lot 😮💨

Indeed, almost Beckham's level from set pieces.

at some point you would think he would try something else
