Spend the extra money and get a good tune, if you don’t I am certain your will blow your top end or destroy your trans, I have a PPE, I personally would look for EFI Live, cause it’s designed for your needs and wants
I got 02 Duramax and I need new injectors I was thinking to put 30% over injectors for the price I think it’s no bad idea. Obviously it’s more power and less mpg With those injectors you can see the black smoke Out of the pipe? Because I live in California and you know how it is on CA. and what is the city MPG what else do you have to have 600 hp Thanks ….
I definitely get better gas mileage since installing these bigger injectors. Yes it does smoke when you put your foot down… It’s all about the tuning and how you drive it. This video was taken in Tune 4, as well as all of my other clips… if I were to drop it into tune 1 or 2, it would barely smoke at all. These trucks will get better gas mileage in the higher tunes as long as you take it easy. This is due to due to not having to use as much throttle from having the added horsepower and torque at your disposal. Hope this helps.
@@Fidler_Lb7bro, I got 45 overs, if it's tuned right, you don't get a whole lot of smoke, but even if you did....who cares? Guess where I am currently, ocotillo California. On a welding contract for a year. Fully built, fully deleted lb7 that gets compliments everywhere. There are pre emissions diesels blowing black smoke everywhere out here.
@@bcdieselsofficial1-4 can take quite a bit of abuse it’s the 4-5 5-4 shifts at those power levels that kill the 5 speed allison. I wasn’t carful enough in big tunes on the highway and tore mine up now I have a built trans with a triple disc billit torque converter. You can take these transmissions to about 75 in 4th gear before you break 3k rpm’s
@@bcdieselsofficialok you can cruise in a big time In any gear if you’re talking about the 5 speed vs the 6 speed I have the calibrated power conversion in my transmission and it’s nice and all but the 5 speed is just fine lol
Sounds badass at 4k
Nice LB7!!!
Lol you need about a 12000 pound gooseneck to keep your rear wheels down before you can accurately test
Can’t wait to build my lb7 after these injectors are done. Any mod recommendations to get 450-500 hp?
Lift pump and EFI Live
I have a stock 2004 duramax crew cab with intake and straight pipe 5 “ exhaust what’s the easiest bang for buck tuning route to take ?

Best way to go is to find a local guy that uses EFI Live software to write tunes. He will write them custom for the mods on your truck

Wrong you get better mpg cause you don’t have to use the pedal as hard as you would with less power also depends on how you drive
What all was done to the truck here
Injectors and a tune
