We had the opportunity to sit down and talk with Gary Holt (Exodus, Slayer) about the 2013 Metal Alliance tour, the controversial banning of Exodus from performing on Disney-owned land, the 2007 lifetime ban from the The Whiskey a Go Go in Los Angeles, the Hell and Heaven Festival in Guadalajara, Mexico, his thoughts on American and European metal festivals, the upcoming Exodus album, his experience with Slayer and its influence on Exodus, as well as Exodus' lineup and the current state of thrash metal.

I had the chance to meet Gary Holt in person, he really is different compared to stage performance. Laidback as he can be, he really is a kind dude. I bought an Exodus guitar pick, had him play a little so hopefully I get a little bit of that thrash feel lol.

Ya I totally agree,& Exodus in general like you said.I also think that long time Exodus guitarist Rick Hunolt is very underrated also & is a very killer shredder on the 6-string ringer.

The ban has been lifted!!🤘🏼 saw exodus at the house of blues in Anaheim earlier this earlier same with machine head saw them a few weeks ago at the same venue
