    "But finally it is work that you have to deliver and work that mostly goes over hundreds and hundreds of sketches and hundreds and hundreds of tries. Believing that inside each one of us, yourself, myself every person you see, even the most modest person with whom you have to deal, there is a source and this source can deliver quality and can deliver or never will stop to deliver so far as you don't stop working for it."
    WOW.

What I don't like is when things go wrong and that's when domes started to have leaks, ceramic falling from the roofs or bad planning choosing materials like the bridge in Bilbao with glass flooring in a city that rains constantly, well ,maybe he had a master plan and invested in hip prosthetic replacements... Or forgetting to make and access to wheel chairs in the one from Venize..

Anyone can design a concrete box and have all of the problems you have mentioned be completely eliminated, but then whats the point? Also, as more complex geometries get introduced into building projects the better we'll get at dealing with the problems that arise out of it. Takes time to create something beautiful.

Come to Venice, try the aesthetic experience of tumbling down from the artistic glass bridge, "drawn" by the great architect, with only form in mind, it's the best way for learning what architecture is, and what it's not.

    Make we do volumes that hold memories...
    To trap our fantasies of flight...of freedom...
    In concrete...in steel they soar to heights...
    That just before...were only imagined;
    With pen...with paper, plans are created...
    For armies of men to live...to work...to dream,
    Sweat and toil they give...even drops of blood,
    With willing spirit of promise...of dedication,
    Welded and bent into boxes they make...
    To guard even more memories of Journey...
    Until storms of Nature...of men,
    Test the sinews of their structural integrity,
    Any compromise secretly made...
    Goes flying thru the open air of Truth,
    Twisted egos dot flatted canefields and brown oceans,
    Make believe symbols of Power...of Suriety,
    Surge forth Time...and weathered muscle,
    Make of this battle a valliant effort...
    But dust returns...always to its maker,
    Memories fade...as they normally do...
    But are kept in boxes crafted in Imagination's temples,
    Make we do volumes meant to hold on...
    Soon come...soon come does patiently wait its moment;
    As Ego forever dot a landscape of Heaven.

    Calatrava was one of the first contemporary architects to revive the “expressive modern” style of Saarinen and Oscar Niemeyer. While others continued to rework brutalist modern Calatrava explored fluid and playful forms. He’s made important contributions that have enriched the appeal and emotional element of design.
