- Exiled by a group of Marvel "heroes" to the savage alien planet of Sakaar, the Hulk raged, bled and conquered through the pages of last year's "Planet Hulk" epic, rising from slave to gladiator to king. Now the Hulk returns to Earth to wreak his terrible vengeance on Iron Man, Reed Richards, Dr. Strange and Black Bolt -- and anyone else who gets in his way. Stronger than ever, accompanied by his monstrous Warbound gladiator allies, and possessed by the fiercest and purest rage imaginable, the Hulk may just tear this stupid planet in half.
▸ The Incredible Hulk is an ongoing comic book series featuring the Marvel Comics superhero the Hulk and his alter ego Dr. Bruce Banner. First published in May 1962, the series ran for six issues before it was cancelled in March 1963, and the Hulk character began appearing in Tales to Astonish. With issue 102, Tales to Astonish was renamed to The Incredible Hulk in April 1968, becoming its second volume. The series continued to run until issue 474 in March 1999 when it was replaced with the series Hulk which ran until February 2000 and was retitled to The Incredible Hulk's third volume, running until March 2007 when it became The Incredible Hercules with a new title character. The Incredible Hulk returned in September 2009 beginning at issue 600, which became The Incredible Hulks in November 2010 and focused on the Hulk and the modern incarnation of his expanded family. The series returned to The Incredible Hulk in December 2011 and ran until January 2013, when it was replaced with The Indestructible Hulk as part of Marvel's Marvel NOW! relaunch.

The Sentry is my favorite character, and this is just so fantastic a way to finish a top-tier story.
One of the tie-ins I wished you had done was Ghostrider, my second favorite character. Ghostrider is sent to fight the Hulk, it's a good bad for a while, until Worldbreaker Hulk finally smashes him.
Then the spirit of Vengence takes over to save Ghostrider's life. This is the Cosmic level being who is the divine force of nature of righteous punishment, the anger of God. Vengence maybe could have beaten Worldbreaker Hulk,
but when Vengence looks into Hulk's eyes he says, "The Hulk deserves his revenge, for what they did to you."
It was a predictable outcome. Why in the world would they have expected the Spirit of Vengeance to stop a roaring rampage of revenge in the first place?
That isn't to say it wasn't an amazing bit. The look of dawning horror on Doctor Strange's face when he realizes what's just happened is priceless.
Well Zarathos didn’t take over to save Johnnys life. He would’ve lived regardless so long as he stayed in his rider form. Only reason why Zarathos took over was because Johnny was unconscious.
And there’s no “maybe.” He definitely would have beaten hulk

This was literally one of the only comics I ever read. Along with the World War Hulk where a zombie bit Hulk and he started eating people on Earth.

There is one side story I think you should cover. Ghost Rider vs World War Hulk, it is an interesting story and something I think people would like to see.

nah, He still isn't a cosmic entity, like it or not, No matter w strong hulk gets, even if he gets 100x stronger than he was as world breaker. Living tribunal could end him in the blink of an eye. Dr.Strange could make him disappear, the void could absolutely annihilate him. The one above all could wish him into nonexistence. The precense or Great evil beast could do the same. Many cosmic entities could just make themselves stronger than Hulk.

dude I love the way you break down these stories. I'm just getting into comics and there are a lot of characters and stories that I've never heard of, thanks for helping me catch up on all this awesomeness.
7:43 I'd like to point out that the "thumbs down" expression is _almost always_ misinterpreted. Most people think it means "kill him," but it's actually the opposite. Traditionally, the "thumbs up" is actually the affirmative for the gladiator to go ahead and finish his opponent. The "thumbs down" is a negative, meaning the gladiator is denied the killing blow. When I first read this series, I thought the Hulk was finally pulling back. I still like to think that he meant the thumbs down to tell Richards to spare Stark, but he was misinterpreted and just rolled with it until he shut the disks off a moment later.
EDIT: Oh wait you messed up. 8:05 Tony didn't crack the security on his disk. He even says he was far from it. Hulk shut them off. This is HUGE because it means that Hulk was actually done. He was ready to pretty much walk away at that point (I mean, he was going to raze the city and THEN leave, but that's just buildings). No more fighting, no more casualties. Then Sentry comes and starts the fight anew, or rather ups the ante. It's actually the Sentry's intervention that allows for the following events to happen.
Okay Rob, i have watched so many of your videos, most of them many many times. Now its time to thank you for all of your work. They way you are talking about the different stories is great and you must invest a lot of time in these videos just to share information and emotions with us. Keep on doing this for all of us! He has proven that before God himself, the Hulk is free to enact his revenge. This is the huge turning point for the Illuminati who realize that 'The one person who could stop this, said, "Carry on." The four people who felt so justified in their actions, so confident that they knew what was right for Earth and it's inhabitants and in that one scene, they realize that they were WRONG

Well you did get one thing wrong when you said the sentry was even with the hulk. If you keep reading you'll see Bruce say Hulk was holding back and also I can't remember who else said it but they said Hulk was holding back and pulling his punches and if he wanted he could have killed them all.
Yes but the Sentry wasn't at his full power. The void is his full power. When everything is let go. Not even heart of the monster hulk would stand a Chance.

JacobI Cope That's the debate I guess. People like me and Rob think the Hulk will just grow stronger over time, that Doomsday lacks the power or regenerative speed to overwhelm the Hulk. You and ScrewAttack disagree, and honestly there's evidence for both. I think Hulk wins the fight though, Doomsday comes back, and they just keep fighting until they destroy the universe or die of old age, whichever comes first.

I wonder if Thor with the Odinforce could've stood up to WB Hulk? I definitely think King Rune Thor could've. Always liked how this played out, but the character dynamic would've been alot more impact if it had been Thor that fought him to a standstill. Thor's a staple, Hulk's a staple & the ramifications of a conflict this serious between 2 mainstays would've probably been felt in Marvel for stories & stories to come.

Seeing this and then knowing that Red Hulk is what comes next, it's kind of sad. Not sad as in like "This is badly-written" or whatever, but just a bit sad to see. The progression of Hulk into such a deep-thinking and strong character in Planet and World War shows so much enjoyable dialogue and moments of him, but then we see him again in Red Hulk, and he's back to "NO HURT X, Y, Z," "HULK HURT YOU" and such.
That's one of the things that I LOVED about Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes. In that, Hulk was still Hulk: big massive powerhouse of rage, but he was able to have conversations and was shown to not be a complete caveman when talking.
Writers just keep going from somewhat smart Hulk to "USE LESS WORDS" Hulk, and I don't see why Hulk can't just have the same intelligence and honestly WITT of World War and Planet Hulk.
This is a great series and all, but my one issue is I feel we overblow the Hulk's feats. Yes he did beat nearly every superhero, but until Sentry no one was trying to "beat" him rather "subdue" him. Perfect example being Strange and Mr. Fantastic. Dr. Strange was attempting to calm the Hulk down through some therapy session then got his hands broke. If he was legit attempting to beat the walk, why would he ever become tangible? Why would he let his guard down? My point being yeah this was badass and Hulk was a force of Nature, but no one was trying to fight rather just calm him down.
Michael Myers because a fight would piss him off and they couldn't or maybe could have barely stopped him at the power level he was at without massive destruction. Hell if black bolt was 'calming him down" it still cost part of the moon like to be destroyed.

Sammy Lane Yeah I started noticing when Phillip Defranco stopped using an intro.
avgn and nostalgia critic still use their themes for their reviews like they always do. NC only does it for his nostalgia critic reviews but not when he is discussing a general topic or when he is just Doug. AVGN does it only during his review and sometimes doesn't include it but generally does. He did with his last review though it was the halloween styled opening.
