  • The Way You Look Tonight performed by Frank Sinatra. One of Frank Sinatra's greatest hits, expressing powerful feelings of love and affection. Enjoy this official audio of Frank Sinatra's fantastic song The Way You Look Tonight.
    Lyrics:
Some day, when I'm awfully low,
    When the world is cold,
I will feel a glow just thinking of you...
And the way you look tonight.
Yes you're lovely, with your smile so warm
    And your cheeks so soft,
There is nothing for me but to love you,
And the way you look tonight.
With each word your tenderness grows,
    Tearing my fear apart...
And that laugh that wrinkles your nose,
    It touches my foolish heart.
    Lovely ... Never, ever change.
    Keep that breathless charm.
Won't you please arrange it ?
'Cause I love you ... Just the way you look tonight.
    Mm, Mm, Mm, Mm,
Just the way you look to-night.

+William Dryden. Wise words there William. Frank certainly made my World "a better place". Purchased his "Swinging songs for swinging lovers" vinyl L.P.back in the late 50's,and was immediately hooked. Straight off,I could understand why he was so special . He has been with me every day,and night, ever since. Regardless of what mood I am in at the time, there are Sinatra songs to suit. Despite the negativity shown towards him by many people down the years, the World is a better place for his having lived in it.

The good thing about greats and the classics? Is that these recordings by the artists live on forever to be enjoyed by not just us older people? But also you younger people. And in close? When many are listening to the music today? Like yourself.??? It shows that it simply isn't really outta fashion or time. Sinatra ... Bennett Sammy Davis and Dean Martin all did their thing in the record business even through the 60s.. 70s. And ? To some extent? The 80s pop music culture all to make their unique sound. The clothes and fashions may not be around except in film? But the music is here to stay.

He was a wannabe mobster. They didn't really want him. Bosses said be careful what you say around him, he's got a big mouth. Sinatra was a different person around those people, wanted to run their errands. Loved the sense of power. But as Sinatra himself said, "What people think of me doesn't matter. What matters is my music." Honor his request and let it go at that. He was a great artist, one of the best the world has ever known.

Some day, when I'm awfully low
    When the world is cold
I will feel a glow just thinking of you
And the way you look tonight
Yes, you're lovely, with your smile so warm
    And your cheeks so soft
There is nothing for me but to love you
And the way you look tonight
With each word your tenderness grows
    Tearin' my fear apart
And that laugh, wrinkles your nose
    Touches my foolish heart
    Lovely, never, never change
    Keep that breathless charm
    Won't you please arrange it?
    'Cause I love you
A-just the way you look tonight
And that laugh that wrinkles your nose

HeeyItsHarley... I grew up in the SF Bay Area in the 1950's and 1960's. The men went for style. While the women, dressed and their swagger, keep these guys looking for more. I remember that a young boy as I turned 10 yrs old in 1959. Everyone that my parents knew during those days... were friends of the family. Along with Sunday dinners, and everyone was having a good time. Us kids were dressed like our parents. Boys wearing suits, and the girls wearing dresses like 10 yrs old did. ! However, Michael Buble and Harry Connick, Jr. music is great for dancing.

Back in the early 80’s I worked main stage security at ChicagoFest. Mr. Sinatra came by helicopter to the fest. He had his personal security with him. But, I spent a few moments talking to one of his personal security guards. I was very lucky to be able to watch him perform live! It’s an experience I will never forget. He did about a 45 minute set and went back to the helicopter. We really need you now Mr. Sinatra! You are deeply missed.

That was his number one rule. Thinking back, he had about 12 rules. Lol. I loved my father. He passed away 2 years ago. I miss him dearly. He was the kind of man who hit first, then asked. That may sound mean. Maybe it was. But, to this day I still show respect to people who treat me the way I want to be treated. Have a great holiday!!! Thank you again for your kind comment.
