  • A short section has re opened from Robertsbridge Station to roughly half a mile round the corner near the A21 main road. Sadly there have since been no other public open days to ride on this section which is a shame. And planning permission has been sent off to put a crossing over the A21, nothing has come of it yet. Who knows what the future holds... anyway enjoy this video! The main section of the railway is featured at the end and has D9504 departing. 8588558
    Enjoy!

Great video Howard! Steam trains are definitely something to see! Especially on new extended routes!

The link to Bodiam would be great because then you could get from both Hastings and Tunbridge to Tenterden. But I can't see a level crossing over the A 21 EVER happening. Better to find some rich honk and apply for permission to undertunnel or bridge over the trunk road.

They’ve done a video explaining it all. I really hope it happens!

@@HSTHoward, I think I have actually heard somewhere that they have the permission to actually go ahead and build a level crossing across that road a.k.a A21? I hope so. But, research into this to find the exact answer, not really sure?

@@HSTHoward, I know they are thinking of running in total ten services backwards and forwards from Tenterden to Robertsbridge via Salehurst Halt. But how many trains will be in service, I'm not sure?

@@HSTHoward They have all the planning permission, they just haven't got the land ownership so are currently appealing for a TWAO to allow them to do a compulsory purchase order on the land to build the extension.
