    "Seal-a-canth", an ancient prehistoric deep sea fish recently discovered a few years ago to actually still be alive. But wow, I love that this deck is very fluid and viable now at long last.

    You can play the herald synchro 4 since banishing doesnt affect too much the deck. But its not comming all the time, just with specific hands

      It's definitely possible to synchro into Herald😅 but which monsters? Keaf, 1 Ghoti Tuner? Can't use Sardine because you're locked into Water. I guess maybe that's a Good out for Turn 1... Then use Snopios 😅

    Im honestly a big fan of Minairuka over silent angler, 9 times out of ten its just as easy to summon, doesn't lock you from the hand, and is a negate in a pinch. Cool decklist tho!

    Your ghoti guide rocks! I used to follow the crowd and only play each ghoti at 1, but it almost always instantly loses to a single Ash, Imperm, or Veiler. Your list, though, is a game-changer! I was skeptical at first, thinking it might brick a lot, but I tried it out, and my hands are way better now. I'm pulling off combos left and right, fish everywhere! Floppy fish swarming the field. Everytime i play this deck I get autism and just scream "FISH" out of pure amazement! Plus, your video was hilarious-I enjoyed it a lot!

    Good deck but theres one litle detaile i personaly would change. Kick the golden sarco and play crossout instead.
    Here are the pros and cons:
    Pros:
    1. It a hantrap dodge
    2. If your opponent doesnt use any hand traps you can go to end phase, activate it, bannish one of the 3 litle ones and special them during the next end phase.
    3: If you already have a good set up you can also simply set it and negat the opponents bordbreaker like dropplet or DRNM
    4: Its not a one off.
    The cons:
    It doesnt start combos like sarco. But honestly going minus three because of a "one of spell" isn't really good.
    But thats my Personal opinion.
    Ps: play more diffrent hand traps as crossout targets

    • @earthteamjordan

  • @ivanleikert1618
    @ivanleikert1618 Před 10 měsíci +5

    During the exact moment you say "we didnt have a lot of plays to make here" you had game. You literally made Chengying.... AFTER BATTLE. If you normal summoned Sardine, Special Angler, Synchro for Chengying, then use shif on Deep beyond for the banish and effect boost. Deep Beyond is 5000, Chengying is 4000. You even missed banishing a fish from grave to search Paces, which could have been the normal, or Snopios, who not only gets more ghotis into rotation, powers your monsters further, and summons another monster with 2100atk.
    Side note, how do you plan to consistently banish Pciics from hand with only 1 field spell, and 1 snopios? If you are going through Arionpos, you can just banish it from deck. Also you need more Silent Angler. If your hand is full of tuners, all who dont activate effect so they can't summon minairuka or ixeep off just a Normal Summon, you NEED someway to get to Arionpos. I personally use the 2 Method. With exception of Crossout, Paces, Abyss Shark and Sardine, all other cards in the deck are at 2. Kiif really helps with this problem, but if your activated effect to special/add your ghoti from the banish zone is negated, it no longer gets to come back. So unless you plan on going through hoops to achieve what 1 activation of field spell, or Arionpos, or Pciics can do, play 2 copies.

    • @earthteamjordan
      @earthteamjordan  Před 10 měsíci +1

      I just rewatched again and youre right, I did have game lol. It seems I did misplay that part a bit.
      During testing, I was very consistently going into Arionpos turn 1 and 2, and each time I would use it to banish a Pciics from Deck. I quickly realized that unless I end the game turn 2, once turn 3 comes Im out of Psiics (aka searches), and the only way to use Psiics effect to search would be to sub-optimally get it back on the field or into grave and then banish it with something like Snopios. Between the Arionpos, Gold Sarcophagus, 1x field spell, and 1x snopios I never had any problem banishing it.
      I do agree with you that it can be risky playing Field Spell at 1, and I even mention in the video that I tried it at 2, and it can be played that way. However, I realized that the field spell alone does nothing. Same for Snopios. I tried it at 2 as well, and it works, but it increases your chance of bricking or opening weak hands.
      Lastly, I never ran into the problem of not having non-tuners to synchro with. Abyss Shark grabbing a fish + Kiif special summoning every turn was very reliable in terms of finding non-tuners. I do agree Kiif can be interrupted, but you are not just using main deck monster to synchro, the Synchro Monsters themselves are usually the best Synchro Material. You can definitly add 1 ixeep in place of 1 Paces or 1 Kiif.

    Leaffish and Beautuniful Princess are automatic 3-ofs. They're the only real 1-card starters the deck has. There's really not any point in playing so many Ghoti cards unless you're running Aloof Lupine to take advantage of otherwise bricking on so many Fish. Angler is also just strictly better than Miniaruka. Glad you picked up Ghoti, hope you're having fun with it.

    Thoughts on using the new support for an updated runick build to imorove our turn 2 starts?

    • @earthteamjordan
      @earthteamjordan  Před 10 měsíci

      I love Runick, Its one my of my favorite Decks and I might Review it soon. However, I dont think this is optimal. If you do it, then I would suggest keeping a very minimal Runick Engine. Maybe 6 Quick Plays maximum + 2 Fountain. If you wanna improve going second, then I would suggest generic board-breakers. Runick would have to add more than just going-second-ability to Ghoti to be considered an optimal build imo.

    • @earthteamjordan
      @earthteamjordan  Před 8 měsíci

      I thought about it, but there are no level 10 Syncrhos that extend your plays in this Deck. So you go minus 2 for a Level 10, then you have 3 cards to make Ghoti plays. In Ice Barrier and some other Decks its better, because you gain advantage from the discards.

    3 Psiics and 3 Kiif?? Optimzed Ghoti? More like most bricky Ghoti deck ever XD
    You dont even play Beautunaful, the best card to SS back with Kiif.
    Besides being bricky as hell, your build loses to so many cards. Nib and Evenly being only a few of them.
    Just play 1x Kiif 1x Psiics 1x Arionpos and 0x Fishlamp (its ASS). Instead play 3x Crossout (INSANE in this deck), 3x Evenly and 3x Nib for going 2nd. And for gods sake, put a Baronne in this. You'll need it much more than the 3rd Arionpos XD
    I currently play every Main deck Ghoti at 1 copy each (except Eanoc and Ixeep). I go through each of them every turn, but all of them are HOPT, so I dont need 2 extra useless copies of cards I already have in rotation. I like more board breakers and handtraps much more.

    • @PrestomachadoYGO
      @PrestomachadoYGO Před 10 měsíci +1

      I like fishlamp as a sideck option for floodgates, it comes up from time to time but not enough for a main deck slot

    • @earthteamjordan
      @earthteamjordan  Před 10 měsíci +2

      Beautunaful + Kif is a good idea I'll try it out.
      It's a going first deck. If you take out engine cards for 3x Nibiru 3x Evenly 3x Crossout. You will brick 🧱 just as much if not not more. Your hands will look like Evenly Nibiru Crossout Imperm and Paces 😂
      This is the most consistent way to play. Other than Beautunaful every card you mentioned belongs in the side deck not the main deck.

    • @tongatapu7325
      @tongatapu7325 Před 10 měsíci +3

      @@earthteamjordan Its definetely not the most optimized build, nobody plays 3 Kiif and 3 Psiics. 3 Arionpos is objectivelynot the most optimized way. Never needed the 3rd in over 100 games. Baronne on the other hand comes up every other game. Other peoples videos on Ghoti come to the same conclusion and play 1 copy each (deepsea darew for example).
      Me bricking means I have too many habdtraps/boardbreakers, which still keep my opponent at bay for next turn. If you brick (too many tuners or the wrong combination of cards) you have almost nothing to stop your opponent.
      This deck already wins most games going 1st, so theres no need in making that even better. I achieve almost the same boards you do with 1 copy each. The biggest weakness of Ghoti is going 2nd, so the best way to circumvent this weakness is more Going-2nd-cards. I mean, you only win the die-roll 50% of the time.

    • @earthteamjordan
      @earthteamjordan  Před 10 měsíci +2

      @@tongatapu7325 If you are playing Best Of One then I can see the argument. But you don't buy a Toyota and drive it like a Ferrari then say you drove it optimally. Similarly, you can't take a Turn 1 Deck and stuff it with board breakers then call it optimized. That is what the side deck is for.
      I want to open Full Ghoti Full Sardine combo every game. I don't want to open 3 board breakers and 2 non engine so I can pray my opponent doesn't OTK me. Again, if you are playing Master Duel or best of one then you're right👍. However, if you look at my side deck, in the video, you will notice its all board breakers, which I side-in when needed game two and three, and I do take out some copies of Kiif and Psiics in that case.
      There are decks like Mikanko and Madolche which you can stuff with board breakers in the main deck which are optimal builds. Those are decks designed with turn 2 capabilities. If you do that with Ghoti in the main deck, then it is dubious and suboptimal.

    • @tongatapu7325
      @tongatapu7325 Před 10 měsíci +2

      @@earthteamjordan If you don't want to concede every other game because you went 2nd, you need to play some amount of board breakers main.
      We just have 2 completely different deckbuilding philosophies. I try to be as consistent as possible while still being able to cover most weaknesses, you try to be as consistent as possible, ignoring all the weaknesses of the deck (ignoring the Side Deck obviously).
      I want Arionpos T1, everything else is Bonus. So I play all the 2-card combinations that do that at maximum copy. Kiif+Sardine, Kiif + Psiics, Any tuner + Sardine, all these cannot go into Arionpos. Psiics itself is a brick in hand almost every duel.
      3 Arionpos is ridiculous, did you ever need the 3rd copy over a Baronne, Aegirine or Accel Stardust?
      Believe me, I tried playing more Kiifs, Paces, Shifs etc. I bricked too many times on the wrong combinations or too many tuners, got Nib'd and Evenly'd too many times. Cutting down on engine to only 1 copy each felt soooo much stronger.
