It’s kind of a big jump in growth for the characters. Jaime has gone from being the star of the team to part of the team and the way he interacts with them is much different than in season 1. They seem more like brothers now.
This line was great. It shows how Isaac has taken on the captain role and embodied the lasso way. He said, what is one of us is gay, and since he wasn't gay, he could have said, "he shouldn't have to deal with this shit!", but instead he said "we". It shows that whoever it is that's gay, he's not alone in dealing with this shit.
@@12Chris6literally every other fan had Bantr on their jerseys instead, even the fans at the pub (a place many sports fans go to when they can’t afford tickets or cable)
Clearly a wardrobe choice to visually distinguish the bigoted fan from the "normal" ones. IRL fans in the stands would be wearing replicas from lots of different seasons, not just the current kit.
Did anyone else notice that the "fan" seemed confused at why Isaac was upset with him and didn't understand why he had to leave the match. "What did I do?"
My biggest regret about the show ending is we won't get to see more of the team. From the beginning, every player they shine a light on becomes a new favorite character. Isaac embodies everything a captain should be. Both on & off the field. Jumping the fence and threatening a fan isn't cool, no matter the circumstances, but I'd rather he learn from being too protective than not enough.

The fact that he unknowingly stood up for Colin, WHO WALKED BACK INTO THE STADIUM RIGHT BEFORE HIM, as SOON AS THE WORD LEFT THE FANS MOUTH makes Isaac the GOAT!!!!
Issac takes care of his teammates. He knows that Colin is in the closet and isn’t able to help him. So hearing the fan yell out the slur set him off because he knows how much it hurts Colin
If you're asking about the Red Card: Isaac was ejected from the match for his conduct and likely would have been banned from playing a number of future matches.
You can absolutely get cautioned or ejected for anything that happens from opening whistle to final whistle. I've seen players get yellow or even red carded for getting into fights in the tunnel at the start of halftime.
Man it’s a slur. It affects nothing about the content to have it censored but it’s nice for people to not have to hear it because, you know, it’s a slur. If you’re pressed that people can’t be proudly and aggressively homophobic in a feel-good tv series, there’s something deeply wrong with you.
What does it provide in content? We’ve all heard it a thousand times, my mom has heard it, I’ve heard it, my friends have heard it. Why should we have to suffer someone else’s ignorance and hatred blast out in the open anymore? You want to be hateful, fuck off and do it somewhere else.
Woke? How about polite? Respectful? I mean, was your understanding or enjoyment of the show undermined by them not actual using the word? 20years ago they'd have freely used a word like fag whilst avoiding using fuck... in what way was that better?

One of the best and subtle lines is Roy calling issac a good lad on his way back in the tunnel
Even more subtle it's a callbak 2 the prev seas. When in the TV studio Roy made the exact same assertion on air -- 'Isaac's a good lad'
