    His Olympic Record still stands. Thomas Rohler was the closest to Andreas Thorkildsen's record with 90.30 at Rio 2016.

    I just don't understand why people aren't kept off the field down range of the Javelin throw.
    I remember that athlete getting speared in Rome while warming up slightly off the left of the field, or the judge in Germany who died after his neck was pierced for running towards the javelin before it even landed like these guys in the video-
    why can't the judges wait 5 more seconds before sprinting towards the airborne javelin. fuck.

    • @MASTERmanJARVIS
      @MASTERmanJARVIS Před 9 lety

      Yea that is a pretty good distance for a 13 year old. I'm 14 and throw 31m but i barely do it. I'm joining an athletics club outside of school in the next few weeks and hopefully i will improve my javelin by quite a bit too. I'm hoping to get around 35-40m in the next couple of months. By the way, you should definitely join some sort of athletics team as well (if you haven't already) which you can practice javelin at. You got a very good distance so you might as well go and see if you can get anything from it.
      P.S people around our age should get around 10-20m without training, so we are doing pretty well. Imagine what we could get with a bit of training.

      Ah thank you my teacher was telling me it was a good score for my age and im really small so its good and I do football aswell so I cant really join an athletics team but im going to keep at it at school im aiming for around 35m my best is 32m my town record is 28m but at the Town cup I got 27 I was close to brealing the record so yeah im going to stick at it thank you for the comment :)
