- New Zealand vs England in the second test at Eden Park takes place tomorrow.
The All Blacks won last weeks match 16-15 and they haven’t lost in Auckland for 30 years!
Can England pull off a famous upset? - Sport
Excited! England knocking us out of the World Cup that time actually distressed me so much I took years to be able to watch another match! Came into the last World Cup feeling excited for rugby but concerned for NZ. We exceeded my expectations and had a wonderful World Cup. I think at 58 years old I’ve grown up enough to love the game for what it is. Wonderful. Thanks for adding to our enjoyment. ❤
My sentiments as well, and I'm 63. 😂
@@nepiahemopo1702old buggers! We might be growing up 😮😅
@@ShanePleasance Yeah! I'm hesitant to mention the word, wisdom. 😂😂😂
@@nepiahemopo1702never heard of it….
That Hansen foster era was played out way back then then foster continued that same old tire style for ANOTHER 4 years then Henry before Hansen old boys club sucking each other off
I just think the All Blacks will be so much better this week that England wont be able to handle them for 80 mins, I'm picking the All Blacks by 10.
NZ can improve if they cut out some of the decision making errors they made last week, but there is a ceiling on how much they can technically improve when both teams are close to being the same. It will be another close, tense game I think.
Be careful England ,Eden park is All Blacks Marae
Front row and the bench will be the difference again. All blacks by 11-20
Lets hope the ABs stick to the script Razor has already set before them. Discipline physically, mentally and spiritually.
Great thoughtful video Alfred thank you. But I think George itoje and Earl pretty experienced. Also total gamesman ship from Borthwick re De Groot. All through th World Cup against the best scrums in the world Abs held there own and not one team, or ref had an issue with De Groot's technique.. Petry from England coach I think he's really good and doesn't need to get into that stuff. Disappointing lapse into English tactics of old. This England team looks tio be the goods may the bet tam win!
id go with the abs by 20pts this time around
I love Mckenzie & Perofeta, but boy... Beauden should have stayed at 10 as Carter's successor. Might not be the primary kicker from tee, but his game management & experience are still above the rest.
Hopefully he's the starter for TRC & RWC.
Of course they have a chance, but it will take every player playing at a 9 or 10 for 80+ The rust will be gone from the ABs and their record of not losing for the 1000 years at Eden park and its England, but I hope as an Irishman that England switch it on and take the historic win, good look England
Why, as an Irish person, would you support your oppressors? The potatoe famine ring a bell?
@@nepiahemopo1702 Grow up FFS it is 2024
So this will b England's 8th test this yr😂😂and the all blacks 2nd test with new coach etc😂weak if england cant win.😂😂
I expect nz to be better but what you expect isn’t always guaranteed,
I thought Nz’s bench was better in game 1 , for England to win I suspect they have to be in a strong position before the coaches go to their benches.
Half back will be a weakness for the Blacks, if Mackenzie continues to kick aimlessly this Will surely destruct their plans, obviously the forwards will play the eventual plan to pave the wave to a solid win all and all a tactical move by either team will be crucial
Reserve quality will decisively tell after the 60minute mark. Taking Baxter out of this argument as he came on earlier as an injury replacement....I found the AB reserves had much more impact than the ENG reserves and it was enough to get the ABs (just) over the line.
Between the 35-55min mark the ENG run on squad had effectively locked the ABs in a vice grip and camped them in their half of the field. The AB reserves broke those shackles by the start of the final quarter.... coupled with a more effective kick and chase and.... with ENG fatigue starting to set in and (most importantly)....the ENG reserves coming on not being able to maintain the grip their run on teammates had achieved up to that point. The field position shifted over to ENGs half and pressure went on ENG
It was also significant that both teams left points behind with goal kicking but it finished up being more significant for ENG both in terms of the final tally and also when the misses occurred and how kicking them could have affected tactics and momentum during the course of the game.
There's No bigger game than trying to beat AB at Garden of Eden Marae💪
well we are going to try and strangle them, If kiwis get their all court game going, we are in trouble. was immensly impressed by Eng defensive structure. it's far from a done deal ,but will be hard hill,
Off the top of my head imagine a bench of Arundel, Willis, Ludlum, Farrel. None available due to foreign players.
Farrell announced a break from England duty and didn't play in the 6N. So nothing to do with his move to France. Of the others only Willis is missed.
Yep and New Zealand has literally dozens and dozens of top class players not available (or playing for other countries) because they are in the UK, France or Japan.
Lol imagine coles, retallick, whitelock, cane, frizzel, smith, jordan, faianganuku, mouanga, havilli coming off the bench for all blacks 😂all missing from world cup final team.😂😂😂
England should make pretty good changes to counter nz. What a match . 2nd test is always tense, and it will always come down to the wire. England win😂😂😂😂
the best chance of beating Ab is gone last week and should be much better this week as by 15+, it should be , win for England if they within 7
AB" S and Eden Park have too much history Wallabies came very close and even had a massive margin, but the ABs ran them down in the second half, the Irish fell short there but won the series....
No chance. 0%. They blew their chance.
Isnt it funny how an all blacks fell onto a bok leg in the rwc final and got carded. But not with tj. Ive seen bok fans say the abs were carded because he targeted the leg which is insane. He fell. But at the time, i thought why is he getting carded? As the English guy also, should not get carded. Its a fall. For things like that i think we should be able to expect consistency
there never is consistency with cards - brit refs love their cards and they dish them out for everything - not so in the SH - we like the game to flow and some refs like to direct the game via cards
I think it was Scott Barrett who fell on his leg - he was wrestling with one of the English
If the ABs are a bit vulnerable and could lose at Eden Park, now is the time.
Then you clearly don't know the All blacks
@@rodeo4786 The ABs won, I'm happy the fortress remains intact.
@ianstopher9111
Yes they did very pleased indeed for the win but i will not be an avid Abs fan if I wasn't more little concerned with just how England were able to apply So much pressure literally controlling most parts of the game and yet again our bench was the deciding factor
Hard result to call. I’m predicting a draw
All blacks need to chip ova the top against the rush up defense that mangled them in 2019 & 2023 World Cup
Hon the Homs
I remember in 2022 no one gave the AB’s a chance after the SA game in Nelspruit. The AB’s came back at Ellis Park and won convincingly. It saved Foster’s job and the AB’s went all the way to the final. England have a chance and I believe they will win by 4.
What a twist ..
England for a big win
Zero chance wood. The abs are coming on strong
Improved performance from England coming up.
I thought it was pretty clever of Bothwick to talk to world rugby about our scrummaging....even if nothing happens the ref is likely to be more critical of the nz scrum in this 2nd test and of course without up front dominance any team is gonna have issues. I 'think' NZ will pull through but I can def see it going the other way as well.
He and a few English experts including ex England international Brian Moore all designed to get in the match officials head well good luck with that with the largest player pool in world rugby compared to NZs small scale population and player registration it is surprising anyway All blacks to seal the deal by 16
