Feel so closed in with all the high-rise buildings..blocks the Sun, Seaview and the fireworks displays..your videos are very informative about Malta..Social life is awesome when on vacation but if you live there it's very different.. I was there few weeks ago lots of traffic, people and construction..People are lovely and friendly..Malta Has changed from the time i lived there..i will always have a spot in my heart for it's my homeland.

Alex, we all need to face the fact that Malta is over developed, poorly planned, too noisy and polluted, too expensive for what you get as a tourist. I used to love it, but no more. Its like living in a working quarry. This pool is a good example, looks average and too small.
I saw posters in St. Julians warning of scams in nightclubs in St. Julians. Tourists are robbed of up to €800 and the names of those nightclubs are also listed. It should be talked about that, because tourists are in danger.
I live here now since 8 months and I've never seen such bad drivers and strange causes of traffic as here in Malta, and I've been in places like Hong Kong, Manila, Cebu, Taipeh, Macau, Vienna or a couple of Cities in Italy or former Yugoslavia, south coast of France, Paris ..... The quality of food is from very low to average, god bless there are some real good spots also here but most likely the food is just average for most of the time a high price which is caused by importing most of the products here of course. Rents are kind of high but at the same end to move into a nice full furnished apartment, townhouse or whatsoever is pretty easy here ... if you have the money for it For such a small Island the place is too overcrowed with such a bad traffic system or public transportations genereally i feel like the governemnt is planing everything pretty randomly and freestyle, sidewalks are too tight and not big enough for such a crowd like in St Julians , you pretty often end up walking on the street than on the sidewalk I could write way more but that would be my first thoughts that come into my mind if someone ask me what i think about the crowded part of Malta Its a nice short time experience, specially for young adults in their mid 20s up to 30 or for people who have enough money to have a very comfortable lifestyle where a rent of 1000-1500€ a month doesnt matter but I would never live with my family here or let my kids grow up here but those are just my 5 cents from a western european who has round about 2k a month to spend - an indian/somalian/filipino cab driver or Maltese who just has to pay for electricity water and food or some fancy western european manager or influencer will tell you a different view of Malta my thoughts about maltese people, so far all of them very warm hearted open and friendly and i can understand why many of them scam the foreigners, i would do the same 😁 Overall a nice place to visit and have some short time experience with, you can make good connections here and meet interesting but also very weird and strange people but not a place to get old with ... at least not for me, cheers Alex

There is still plenty of space in Malta. The problem is everyone is congregated on the eastern side (especially Sliema, SJ, Gzira etc).
