    Welcome to the Beautiful-Electronics-Blog, BEB. Free electronics videos, teardown, and education.
    The idea of the "mini-BEB" is a video series with shorter episodes, with less effort in production. Less time consuming videos, but yet interesting to watch.
    With the mini-BEB, I am able to upload videos w/o proper editing, which is much better than no video at all. Please support. Thumbs up is the easiest way.
    Really need any support.

    Thank you showing the incredibly complex workings of your beautiful Nakamichi turntable. It’s built and engineered to the highest standards, amazing for its time. I own a the Nakamichi 600, 610 pre which I’ve owned since the late 1970’s. I also have a Nakamichi MC1000 reference pickup which I’ve had re-tipped a couple of times over the last 35 years. It’s an amazing cartridge that was originally designed for your turntable. I just love it.

    Wow superaffentittengeilergenialermonstermäßiger total overengineered record player. I like it. That thing looks almost like made for industrial purposes. If they would have gone for higher quality potentiometers and a real FR4 board this would be so toally hyper high end. The machined parts are gorgeous!

    I remeber when our hifi shop sold one back in the 80's. Seller part exchanged it for a Linn Sondek in the end. No idea why. Happy new year Max.

      Was it the only one you ever sold? How much did your shop sell it for and what was the mark up? Must’ve been a super rare event !

    This pump is for pneumatic suspenrion?

    • @MaxKoschuh
      @MaxKoschuh  Před 5 lety +1

      thanks for watching and commenting. Judging from the weight, I guess the honey pattern is made out of iron. Yes, there are pneumatic suspensions in the feet.

    Amazingly complex platter, I wonder how they managed to balance it with all the moving parts. Very surprised to see a phenolic main board in there, I would have expected FR4 in something of that price.

    • @MaxKoschuh
      @MaxKoschuh  Před 5 lety

      yes, that's interesting. The main platter is made out of iron, and has a lot of mass. This will help to balance it. Other than that, I think a lot of engineering went into the correct balancing

    How big is the center correction ? My dad has a record from the '60s that crosses the line into humor.

    Wow somebody spent a lot of money for that one... Nowadays even 300 years old classical music can get copyright flagged, there is a copyright mafia out there, abusively claiming rights on about every sound possible. I have a old video, about a broken laser printer making bad noises, it got copyright flagged. Go figure.

      thank you for your interesting comment. Yes, that's weird. I hope this stops at some time.

    Get the Eprom chip copied before you loose the software. I have its slightly simpler cousin the CT self centering turntable.
