  • Nigerian singer Chris Obehi has become a celebrity in his adopted home, Palermo. He was just 17 when he left his hometown Warri in Nigeria in search of a better life in Europe. But a perilous journey across the Sahara, the Mediterranean Sea and a detention center on Lampedusa Island deeply affected him. There, Chris taught himself to play guitar to pass the time, and, inadvertently, work through the difficulties he experienced on his journey. The guitar also led Chris to his first music album. Check out his incredible story!

Hello all! Hope you are all doing well across the continent! With Chris Obehi's story, are you encouraged to come across to Europe, or is his journey a cautionary tale? We'd love to hear your comments!
