Me too sick of all this dct auto bs shoved down our throats. I'll stick with older cars I guess.
A stock car would definitely make it more a drivers car with more character. But the DCT is out there to be the ultimate track monster and eliminate the human aspect of error. I struggle with that myself.

Every GT500 has only been manual the fact that they made it automatic only is sickening
I hear you but just like porche they were going for track times. Most people aren’t remotely good enough in the seat to come near the cars potential. But as you said the buyer should’ve had a say. @@DarkJoker11892

cost? Wanted the new gt500 but the DCT ruled it out originally as I figured the CAN bus integration would make it a full motec swap...., hell yea nice job getting it figured out!
I remember seeing a manual hellcat charger on youtube but it was the only one I saw.
With the GT500 now in the 70k range this is an attractive option if the price is reasonable. As they improve the process and get the turn around time down. I don’t see why this can’t be a reasonably priced. I know VMP had a GT500 engine in a car with a manual.
2020 CFTP owner here drooling . The option to swap back is nice. I figured you would sell the DCT to offset the cost.

Why not put your destiny in your own hands. Waiting for the lottery is like waiting to die. Grab your nuts and get to work. If I can make 13k a month coming from ZERO sleeping in a 1987 Sentra. You can do it too. You have to make yourself of value. Learn a skill or a trade. Or an advanced degree. It was 48 months of a grind 4 years goes by fast and now I’m milking the rewards for 20 plus years of a solid income direct deposit every two weeks no matter what. I’m 7 years away from a 9k a month pension yeah that’s right I’m still not topped out on salary have another 30k to go. Get off CZcams and make it happen for yourself. It’s 2024 making 6 figures is easy. At 80k a year you can afford ANY mustang go get yours!!!!!

This shop is about 2.5 hours away from me. I've considered doing the manual swap but the price tag makes it not affordable for me. I understand the hours of research and fitment etc that goes into it.
How much do they charge ?
@@stangboy3029 last I checked it was about 25k for the conversion.
That is insane mechanicals are not that much the pedals and center console are next to nothing the tuning I guess is extensive but 25k let’s say 10k for parts and I’m being generous 15k for labor means 115 hours of labor charges at 130 an hour which is the norm. It just doesn’t add up. I’m for guys making money but a base GT with a whipple for 50k would put the GT500 to sleep. Shit a 2023 ESS GTwould walk a GT500 find your looking 40k OUT THE DOOR
I agree but I don’t see the value. And it would hurt your car value if you sold the DTC to try to recoup some money. What would a used DTC go for 5k maybe?? If they priced it right they would be pounding them out like HPJ doing ESS installs
20+ should have been manual with the dct as an option. Ford could have put t56 magnums or very sturdy tr6060's with no lift shift. This whole 10spd/dct stuff is played out..... now everyone can caugh caugh "drive"

Its so refreshing seeing a 10r owner want to manual swap. Autos suck they're so fn boring. This includes the 10r lol.
Dual clutch all day long! I like manuals but you can't beat that dual clutch transmission!
You can beat it too a manual is 10000x more fun and engaging to drive. The lack of manual is the main thing that makes me uninterested in these newer gt500s. They never appealed to me like the previous ones do because there's no manual.
The fun of putting those calf muscles to work and banging gears all day all night will NEVER get old!
Automatics are for those who always conk out the engine when trying to drive a clutch.
@@Callitwhatitis the fun of blippin' through gears with paddle shifters beats it.. especially when its done in a fraction of second and you want both hands on the wheel.

It's faster, gets better MPG, easier for the "general public" to drive, and manuals are being phased out per the technology curve.@@MexicanusPrime-gc6zg
@@Chiefchevy75 it would have only needed a reflash in the ecm from Ford. and to remove the TCM. The gt500 is a gen 2 coyote chassis. I would have cost them almost nothing.

I thoroughly enjoy driving a true 3 pedal manual trans. I don't like dcts and autos they're too boring imo. The driving experience is heavily watered down imo without a manual.
Funny cuz my manual on 6lbs of boost kept right up with a DCT gt500. They aren't as fast as you think they are.

I honestly don't understand all these talking about with going manual transmission nothing nothing nothing comes close to the DCT you wonder why super cars come with DCT ? at that power level and to get the best performance from the car thats why ford didn't make the manual transmission
Do you not understand that it isn't always about et and performance? This is a mod that makes the car way more fun and engaging to drive. I assure you a well driven one isn't going to he held back much on the drag strip or anywhere else. The dct is a liability there too because it cannot be tuned. It's 26k for a replacement which is stupid. It's overrated and overpriced. There's always somebody faster. I'd rather have a manual trans vehicle that runs mid 10 over a dct equipped one that does low 10s any day and twice on Sunday. A few tenths et best case is NOT enough to sacrifice the fun and engagement from a manual trans gearbox. It makes it much more of a drivers car with a stick. Guys who only care about numbers and don't covet the driving experience just don't get it.
No Ford didn't offer a manual because they're lazy and don't give a shit about the enthusiast anymore. The dct is a liability on the drag strip just as much as a manual is because it cannot be tuned. Why do you think it takes them 1200-1300 hp to touch high 8s lol. You could do that with a stick with that kind of power if you can actually drive and on a road course you're not leaving much if any performance on the table if you got that driver mod. Like I said it isn't about numbers it's about improving the driving experience and that it does 10 fold.
Its really all about feeling your Car and being a Enthusiast. Just feels like the car is more responsive and engaging.

Some people don't understand it ain't always about max possible et besides the dct with no tuning is just as much of a liability on the drag strip that is why it takes 12-1300 wheel to touch high 8 sometimes they don't even then. You could go that fast with a stick if it's set up and driven right with similar power level. It ain't always just about max possible speed the guys who either can't drive a manual or can't drive one well are the ones who can't understand why someone would do this. The driving experience is so much more rewarding. To the point I'm not that interested in these newer gt500s compared to the previous ones and it's mostly because lack of manual.

Does anyone know how much this costs??? I think a manual GT500 is way better than a GT350. I feel the 2019&up GT350’s are overpriced. The 2020 GT500’s are becoming very good values. They can be bought with low miles mid to high 60’s. People want 65-75k for 2019&up GT350’s
