I have had developped this theory since the 4th time I listened to Lavender Haze and I think that my theory is 100% confirmed with this MV. The lavender haze represents your safe personal space, with the people you love, with all the things that make you happy, but when she makes the walls drop and sees the space, an infinite zone where you have to discover things you never saw, she prefers staying in that haze of lavender : this is a pure introverted song 😭😭 I love it

My interpretation: In the beginning of the video, the man Taylor is lying next to is asleep whilst she is dealing with insomnia due to many different emotions (as we know, each song in Midnights is a story of 13 sleepless nights). So to deal with this loneliness, she realizes she must take responsibility for the magic in their relationship. She creates a dreamlike world within him (the creation of the galaxy she stirs up) as he unknowingly participates. She crafts a world where they might hide away in the lavender haze, ignoring the opinions of others and maybe even a few of her own qualms about the relationship. She is almost consciously deciding to distance herself from these societal expectations and commitments in order to preserve the “honeymoon phase” with her partner. The predictions (weather segment) about how her relationship will play out are no concern. And again we see the fish bowl reference from Lover MV. She feels adamant about staying among the clouds of the dream-like state we call love. Just my interpretation! I can totally relate to her & admire her for being so open💜

How much more sense does this video and the lyrics of this song make now after ttpd. The lyrics and the visuals never vibed together with being happy staying were she was in her long term relationship. They make perfect sense though for someone contemplating the end of that long term relationship while fantasizing about rekindling a long lost one that was never fully explored due to outside circumstances and obstacles.

The visuals are mind-blowing. I love how the scenario has completely flipped. Once her private life used to be like a fishbowl and exposed to everyone (as she showed in Lover mv). Now she is enjoying her private life and is also aware of what's happening outside and what everyone is discussing about them. Now the aquarium is thus the outside world, not her own life. That change is so impressive.

How much more sense does this video and the lyrics of this song make now after ttpd. The lyrics and the visuals never vibed together with being happy staying were she was in her long term relationship. They make perfect sense though for someone contemplating the end of that long term relationship while fantasizing about rekindling a long lost one that was never fully explored due to outside circumstances and obstacles.
