I first bought this mix tape along with Rise back in the beginning. Either Dec 91 or really early 92. Then Jeno was selling them remastered onto CD’s at Tweakin Records. Now I can’t find the CD’s since everything in the house got hastily packed when we had the floors all redone. So now I’m left to listen either on CZcams or Mix Cloud. I wonder if he’s still selling them digitally on CD or download. I’d gladly pay again. I want Bang The Drum too. These mixes bring back so many memories. Hard to believe these came out 30 yea

If it wasn't for you JENO I would not have the creativity inside the mind I have as for the DJ myself I am thank you very much All respect goes to you. By the way I have every single song on plastic except for life after CD addiction. That is a very hard pressing to get it. I do believe one day if you decide to read this your "ENERGY"tape is where it's at I do have that one I shall Live and die by that tape it's made me the person who I am today peace DJ Robert Dallas Pasadena California

Atom, do you even know who you are talking too? He is The SF House LEGEND. There would be no scene with out him- your listening to a set from The Beginning dude. Respeckt! Most could not touch his sound or level back then. He is still a journey master- I promise you he doesn't need coaching. Read up son.

Remember the 'full moon' parties outdoors, wherever.
The loc. was not announced to the day of.
We would go to sleep early (like 6pm) get up at midnight and head out to the spot.
Usually be the first ones at work after it was over.
Hard to believe it's been so long.

There was plenty of homegrown talent playing house in the bay before the British Invasion.

Wicked definitely played a pivotal role in the progression of the Bay Area rave scene; there isn’t any doubt about that. But to say it wouldn’t exist without them as one commenter here has is problematic and honestly, offensive to the huge numbers of deejays and ravers who were around BEFORE the emergence of Wicked. The fact is, these guys came to SF with a very British, very elitist and quite frankly, colonialist attitude…covering labels of their records, refusing to promote the artists behind the music, etc. They never played very nice with most outside their clique and the minute things got tough for them they turned on each other. Garth and Thomas still get props from me til this day but THIS guy, with his pretentious nonsensical umlaut at the end of his name? Nah.
