Diving - a starter diving licence has experience to dive 18 meters, advance licence 30 meters. A dive of 70 meter would need hours of decompression, not just on the way up from the sea bed, but also hours in a decompression chamber on the surface. Utter fantasy. Shameful

The depth of the pipeline required not only advanced diving experience but explosive knowledge and decompression to come back up.
The NordStream pipeline at the site of the explosion was 80 meters (270 feet).
Experienced scuba divers maximun depth is as deep as 40meters ( 130 feet ).
With highly specialized equipment they can go deeper, but we are talking about a major project of great expense.
I'll go with Seymour Hersh.

When three NATO countries on the same day reference the same act of sabotage and come up with three diverging stories: the UK blaming Russia, and Germany blaming Ukraine, AND Germany recently cut back their support of Ukraine and backtracking on their earlier pledges? So, as a former diver, planning such a decompression dive, the dive equipment and experience level required alone are far beyond the capabilities of such a crew. Highly improbable.

When we did Baltops, we left several drones on the sea floor in the zone of the nordstream. Those drones can be detonated later. Several months later, well within the loiter time, the nordstream was blew up. I asked my friends in the diver work center about it and he said "don't ask"
I hear some ships pushed quite close to Kaliningrad. One might speculate the reason for this might have been to contain the Russians. To keep them away and prevent them from spotting something untoward near the pipelines which might have caused them to respond in a decidedly aggressive manner. Does that seem plausible to you?

The best theory came the same week of the attack - a few weeks prior to the bombing the US navy was in the same stretch doing underwater democharge / mine training (both placing and defusing)... the simplest scenario is that one of the teams had live ordinance for a contingency, which was executed.
U.S. naval ships used to ferry, supply and support those manning the specialized submersibles used for specop mining and UD teams were in Gdansk that same week, leaving out just before Nordstream was blown up.
Also remember that at depth pressure is high, and explosives would also have to blast against the pressure of just the water. Hence, more explosives, not a little bit, is much more believable.

Btw, I'm not sure if you've mentioned this, but at a greater depth than 40 to 50 meters when diving, you need special equipment to pull it off. I think that's about 120-150 feet.
The reason is that the nitrogen in air under pressure gets dangerous to the body. So, you need to use a mix of oxygen with helium, and I would argue, special training for diving with that mix.
Yes, civilian divers can also learn to dive with that mix, but that detail makes the ridiculous story seem even further out.

The depth of the pipeline is not an easy dive even for experienced divers and one needs to know how and where to plant the explosives. These guys were professionals who did it.
