Lady Gaga is one of the few pop stars that actually writes her own songs. That would not be so impressive except for the many top hits she has written. She is not just a one-hit wonder. She is a bonafide song writer. To me, that is what makes her quite impressive.
She was not made a star by the internet, she first started by doing rock music, and had a band of her own, and released an ep, that ep didn’t sell well so she started doing go go dancing and met lady starlight and became lady Gaga, the she was signed to def jam, she made a demo, and they thought it was trash and they dropped her, then she signed to interscope records and released her first single back in 2008, then she started her promo tour in bars all over North America, and the song got bigger and bigger finally after almost a year of gig after gig, endless hours, the song got the number 1 spot on billboard, she got the fame
U havent really experienced Gaga until u have also watched the following video masterpieces: * 'Telephone' (the unedited/uncensored/uncut version....featuring Beyonce) *'Paparazzi' *'Judas' *'Marry The Night' *'Applause' *You and I' If u get through those....u start to realize how unique and talented she is. Like or hate her....its hard not to respect her artistry and creative vision. The songs and the videos are all her...she puts her team to work...but she os the mastermind behind her brand and she never fails to deliver. Since Ed hardy( by Christian audigier) was crazy popular at the time of this song they used on some of their clothes love is a gamble, I wonder if she got the idea from them or they got the idea from her? Just kind of ironic. Loved this song and video so much when it came out!

Also, many people mishear the lyrics, but she's actually singing "P-p-p-poker face, f-f-fuck her face". Her music is full of all kinds of metaphors and symbolism. It's really fun to analyze.
