Extremely Powerful Catapult in 1 Hour

  • I built this simple, yet very powerful DIY catapult from scraps in 1 hour (kid's school project). It has a shooting range of over 100' (when used to shoot smaller objects).
    List of materials used:
    1. Block of wood 21 inch long, 3 by 3 inch
    2. Bracket from Lowes or Homedepot that is used for frame construction
    3. Piece of curved scrap wood about 18 inch long
    4. Tennis ball
    5. a bunch of thick rubber bands
    6. a few screws and metal pieces to attach the rubber bands to the arm and the block of wood.

      What did you use instead of the metal bracket? Having trouble finding it at HD.

      @@allegracurrie6616 I didn’t use the same metal bracket but something similar. I went to Home Depot to find it. Just find any that will allow for a bolt to go through

      Why does it matter where they found it as long as they made it in general I'm actually watching this because I need it for school or I'll fail for stem week
